They do not allow enough time for all the oil to drain out of the oil pan, heads & oil cooler when they open the drain bolt. Then constantly over filled both my wife’s min-van and my Chevy. I asked them not to over fill it this last time and it turned into an argument about how much oil GM recommends for my car and how much over fill it would take to damage the engine. The ONLY way you can put in the recommended oil qty it to drain ALL the oil. Also the owner’s manual specifically states, in BIG BOLD Print – DO NOT OVERFILL THE ENGINE OIL! Of course he overfilled it again, ignoring my request. I stopped taking my wife’s van their last year and they will never see any of my cars their again…EVER! The owner/mgr is rude & self-righteous and could care less about doing a good job. If you do take your car here for an oil change make SURE to check the oil level when you get home, after the car sits for a minute and on a flat surface. Too much oil in your engine is much worse than being a little low.
Words cant explain the disgust i have for the management. Condescending, rude and down right hateful. Warning! ! Stay away!!!!!
Honest staff. I went in for an oil change & to have them check an oil leak on my wife's van. They were friendly, helpful, and not only showed me the oil problem, but showed me how I could fix it myself with a $13 part! They didn't charge me at all because the vehicle didn't need an oil change. They also saved me a ton of money because I didn't have to take it to a shop to troubleshoot & fix.
This place isn't very impressive from the outside, but they offer great service. Much nicer than most of the quick lube places that move so fast and make me.
Don't come here with an aluminum oil pan. I drove up and their service counter had a sign "NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO ALUMINUM OIL PANS". My question then is, who is? Last thing I want is a tech over torquing a drain plug and me needing to replace a $500 oil pan.
Manager Jason and Mechanic James certainly lived up to the name of their business - I arrived at 8:30 am and was out of there by 8:50 am (true, I was the first one there that day), Both Jason and James were polite, efficient, and informed in their recommendations. It's a great shop and I'll be back soon. Thanks, guys!
This is my first Google Review ever. I was recommended to Time Savers by a reputable auto shop in Fort Walton Beach, my girlfriend and I are new in town and we were looking to find a place to get the oil changed on her car. I took the car in and had good service that time. There was one maintenance technician working, and he was able to do the oil change in about 30 minutes. I was happy and planned on being a loyal customer of theirs for years for both my girlfriend’s car and my own. But… The second time I came into get an oil change (March 16th, 2014 at approximately 9:20 am), I pulled into the bay at a pace faster than I should have. I don’t know if there was a sign saying stop or not, however I did not see it. Either way what happened next I think is inexcusable. “Jayson” runs out shouting “STOP STOP WAIT FOR ME TO GUIDE YOU, BACK UP, YOU WANNA RUN YOUR CAR INTO THIS HOLE?” I didn’t justify his tone with a response, I just started to slowly back up, and as I’m reversing back he shouts out again “WATCH OUT YOU’RE GONNA HIT THAT POLE” I continued backing (not hitting the pole mind you) then he guided me into the bay. I asked him “How much time for an oil change?” in a calm but terse voice and He replies “Well it’s gonna be about double time, my partner just went on a bank run and he’ll be back later, probably 15-20 minutes. I got the sense he REALLY did not want to work on my car” I didn’t have that amount of time right then so I drove off, and after the way I had been treated there was no way I was going to trust this guy to work on my car. In retrospect I think that if a business is able to shout at its customers, they don't need business that badly. I have worked in Antarctica, Afghanistan, the Middle East, and right now I work as a delivery driver which means I have need of frequent oil changes. Between my car and my girlfriend’s car we would be giving Time Saver’s a fair bit of business. Not anymore, I see no reason to go to a place of business that feels it is ok to shout at their customers and make them feel like an idiot even if they do make a mistake.
