Fun hidden spot! I loved the vibe and the drink options. The service is great and the servers and hostesses are all very helpful. I didn't expect the food menu to be so limited, only about 8 small bits available, so we left hungry. They have some fun "group drinks" but I don't believe they serve as many people as it states. The regular drinks are delicious and heavy on the alcohol which is always appreciated. I would recommend three dots and a dash as a great drink spot but don't go here hungry ;)

The drinks and ambiance are good, but the customer service is one star at best. The reservations were for eight people, and the table fit five at most. We had two reservations for eight people. Though there were multiple tables open in the area next to us, the manager argued that he could not put both reservations in the same area. Instead, he put the groups on opposite sides of the bar, and sat other groups at the table next to us. He told us if we want the group's in the same area, we need to pay $500. The manager would not take the time to even listen. He was argumentative and defensive the entire time.

Unique - Hidden gem of the city. Good place to get away from it all, enjoy an AMAZING drink and pretend you're in the tropics, no matter what time of year it is. A drink for every taste and desired strength. Good for both small and large groups. Low key setting.

Some co-workers and I came here after dinner for a night cap. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the theming a great deal. The rum drinks named after various bars in Hawaii are a nice touch.

We did not feel adventurous enough to try one of the group drinks, but they sure looked interesting.

The wait staff was friendly and attentive.

I've been to some amazing bars all over the world and three dots and a dash is up amongst the absolute best of them.the drinks here aren't cheap, but for Chicago they are reasonable and of the utmost quality. Every juice is fresh and all the liquors are hand picked to complement each other. The theme is dead on and perfectly balanced. The staff, including the owner are attentive to every square centimeter of your experience, but disappear into the decorations when you are complacent. This is a top bar in the world that doesn't require a loan for a round of drinks, if you go to Chicago and skip this place, you are robbing yourself.

The venue is small so I recommend that you make reservations if you want to be seated while enjoying their amazing cocktails otherwise it's standing room only, you can try to get a seat at the bar without any reservations but like I said it's a small venue. The decor is beautiful, the bartender was attentive, and the drinks are strong and delicious.

Arrive early! I got there at 8:30ish on a Saturday night and still got a table without waiting. However, when I left at 10:30 there was an immense line on the outside of the bar. Drinks are very very good, great variety and fair price for a trendy bar. Average 14 dollars for individual drinks, 10/15 for appetizers.

Hidden gem in the middle of Chicago. A MUST visit when in the area Never seen a place quite like it as it's a tiki bar in the middle of Chicago with what you'd expect on a tropical island. Drinks and food are amazing and they have rooms with each one having their own theme if you're with a group. Nothing I say will do it justice. Just GO.

Holy cow. This place. AMAZING. A must-see in Chicago. Located in an alley with a red velvet roped entrance, you will be greeted by a bouncer-type guy and then enter down some stairs into another world. You enter into a tropical oasis with excellent drinks at great prices. If you're a cocktail connoisseur then this is the place for you. Skillfully crafted, each drink is made with quality ingredients. They even cool some of the glasses (depending on the recipe) with liquid nitrogen! Reminded me a bit of a tropical Aviary. Highly recommend!!!

Interesting place. Great ambiance. Unique drinks. Why 4 stars? Well not sure why but they told me to take hat off at the door, the drinks were extremely pricey, and the food menu was basically all fried food. It was close. Just don't go there with an empty pocket or expecting to eat.

Super fun, awesome cocktail list, decorations on drinks are a riot. I had Bluth's banana and it was delicious, strong and fun. Only complaint is that we waited a solid 45 min to get our drinks. She did comp my friend's non-alcoholic drink though. It was very busy at 5 on a Thursday so make reservations!

The speakeasy feel to the place is great. Amazing atmosphere and the drinks were amazing. Portions on the food were on the smaller side so don't come too hungry (the food was DELICIOUS though). Overall I will totally return and bring friends along. I loved it!

One of the best cocktail drinks in town. Hands down! The place has an island feel and the music isn't too loud so you can actually have a conversation without screaming your lungs out. But make sure you get all the drinks you want for your stay at once because getting a drink is a hassle. You can waste 20-minutes trying to to get one.

Some of the most interesting and thoughtfully crafted cocktails I have ever witnessed being made. Just watching the bartenders make the drinks is a performance of its own. Overall the drinks are $16-20 a piece but they have an adequate amount of alcohol and very very delicious. Definitely recommending this place to friends.

I was just at Three Dots and a Dash roughly an hour ago. Great ambience, friendly and cordial staff, and great drinks. My tender was named Danny and he was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested in craft cocktails and a fun, laid-back atmosphere! So glad I went! Ask for Danny when you're there!
