Ricky was great to work with. He understood my time constraints and my needs and worked quickly to show me every option that was a possibility for me. Also, I bought with the confidence that Thompson will continue to provide top-notch service for the life of the vehicle. I will gladly return as a repeat customer in the future.

Dealing with Thompson GMC was a very pleasant experience, they really had a way of making you feel at ease. From the sales team (Charles Chamblee, Tim Bus) down to the front desk receptionist, everyone had a way of making you feel relaxed and comfortable. Will definitely be the first spot I come back to when I'm ready to purchase a new vehicle again.

Set up an appointment for 8:30 am to have recall repair done - it took 8 hours. It seems that making an appointment means nothing at this dealership. If you have an appointment your repair should start shortly after the set appointment time - not whenever they get around to it. The best part of my experience at Thompson was the shuttle driver who was a real sweetheart (five stars for him ☆☆☆☆☆) UPDATE - Thompson took the time to follow up with me regarding my not so great experience with my recent visit. This is a good practice that more businesses should engage in.

Brian Blair (Sales) is amazing! He's so patient. I have never leased before and really hadn't thought of it as an option. I feel we really tested him with questions. The first night we visited he stayed well after closing shop to go over details with us even though we told him we weren't buying that day. I could not have asked for a better experience. Butch (Finance) was great and patient, again after the dealership had closed for the day.

Ashley was super nice and took good care of my needs. I was hesitant about services to be done, but his suggestion was the perfect one and took care of my oil change and inspection right away, so I wouldn't have to schedule another unnecessary appointment. The guys made coffee, and all ladies in the waiting area were appreciative of their kindness on a chilly morning. Nice group of people!

Update: From Thompson Buick's comment, sadly as a company they just don't "GET IT about the elderly situation and issues". Hopefully the consumer after reading review below gets what this is about and will choose to take their business to another supplier that can reflect on its actions and not support Thompson Buick's business attitude you signed we did nothing wrong approach end of story.

Thompson Buick recently proved to me that they fit right in to today's corporate mantra, “we did nothing wrong”. Legally, this is probably true, however morally I feel they took total advantage of my 86-year-old mother in law and blind 95-year-old WWII veteran father in law. Here is their story…. April 18, 2016 - in laws came to Thompson Buick to get a Buick and trade in their SUV. Key criteria for new car was to be able to put wheelchair into the trunk. They liked the Buick Lacrosse and the salesperson assured them they could get a wheelchair into trunk. Not sure how they both figure she could get wheelchair into trunk as again she’s 86 and he’s 95 and blind. They purchased the car and after a week, they knew it would be too difficult to deadlift wheelchair sideways drop and push into a sedan trunk. Obviously, this was not going to work so on May 3, 2016 (three weeks later) they went back to Thompson Buick. Same salesperson traded in the three-week-old car for $13,000.00+ less than they had paid and put them into a leased car (not enough funds for new one). In-Laws have never been in lease before and had little comprehension of its working. Result is they accepted a Buick Encore and paid in full two (2) year lease for $12,848.32. Due to reversal in health they are both now in assisted living and we wanted to drop the lease which has 8 months left on it. Of course, it’s prepaid and Thompson Buick can’t and won’t do anything about this as lease company owns, thanks I get it. In my opinion, Thompson Buick has taken an unfair advantage of these elderly people who yes made mistakes, but come-on let’s be real do you think they comprehend their losses or understand all options in trying to fix it. When such issues are uncovered, a responsible business should react responsibly both socially & morally to correct such a wrong. This obviously is not the position of Thompson Buick’s management as my inquiry to senior management was passed to the sales manager to express nothing more than "We did nothing wrong!" In response, my mantra to the court of public opinion - Find Somewhere Else to do business.

Took my 2009 CTS in for a minor body repair and they did a fine job. While the body shop had my car I asked them to perform an oil change and an inspection. I later received a call from the service staff telling me that my car had failed inspection due to a power steering leak. When I questioned where and explained that this 75,000 mile car doesn't leave a drop on my garage floor, the service writer put the mechanic on the phone. He said that I had a leak and when challenged about the fact that the car and garage where spotless when I took it in for service, he said "Maybe it just started" and described a pool of fluid on a steering boot. I was then given an $1,800.00 repair estimate. Upon my own inspection I have discovered and photographed what appear to be four small rectangular punctures side by side in the lower ridges of the boot, the most protected area and not in line with each other and opposite the natural movement of the boot where moving material would naturally wear. I have over 24 years experience in criminal investigations which includes examining tool marks and making reasonable deductions and determinations during examinations of evidence. Without a doubt, I believe that there was an attempt to defraud me by at least one staff member at this dealership. A $7.00 boot suspiciously damaged and an $1,800 repair bill?

What a wonderful experience I had at Thompson GMC! Danny was superb! He didn't hassle me and facilitated the best value for my trade. Butch also handed me a "can't leave it on the table" (literally) warranty which gives me a piece of mind! I will definitely be using you guys in the future!

Last week I test drove a vehicle but wasn't 100% sure on it. The salesman who we shall call Frank (because that's his name) was very courteous and followed up with me not once but twice. The latest was this morning at 9:44 when he asked me to come back to the dealership to inspect the car again. I told him I was returning from a few days at the beach with the family but I would be in around 330ish.

At 315 I left my home for the 25 minute drive to the dealership. While en-route I called Frank and left a message on his voice mail to expect me. Upon arriving at the dealership I saw my name on the monitor out beside Franks name for a 4 o'clock appointment. Several people repeatedly asked me who I was and who I needed to speak to, including the sales manager. I directed them to the monitor with my name and appointment time. I was informed that Frank was gassing up a vehicle he had just sold and that he would be with me shortly.

Bored, I meandered trough the lot looking for the vehicle but could not find it. Upon returning to the showroom floor I was again greeted by the sales manager who once again told me that Frank was still gassing up a vehicle.

I left the showroom to get my phone from my car and returned to the showroom once again to wait for Frank to finish gassing his latest sale. After a few minutes, the sales manager once again approached me to inform me that the car that Frank had asked me to come see had in fact been sold yesterday! He did however offer to take my phone number and call me when they got another vehicle that matched my needs

Update - 12/27/2016 I am a firm believer that it's easy to review someone when they do a great job, and sadly, even easier when they don't, we should also take note when they make something right when they failed. Lee, the Gen. Sales Mgr at Thompson called me on 12/27 to sincerely apologize for their failures. Even though I didn't eventually purchase my Cadillac from Thompson, he has earned my trust.

From the first moment that I made a phone call to make an appointment, I had an excellent experience. The woman who answered was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, and was able to give me an appointment at the exact time that I had hoped for.
As soon as I got to the dealership, I was told immediately how long it would take, and when all the work was done, I was called on my cell phone so that I could return to the dealership after having run some local errands. The recall service and oil change was finished in about two hours, and I thought that was excellent service.

I am completely satisfied from start to finish! I would definitely recommend Thompson Cadillac Body Shop to my relatives and friends! The estimated times of completion was on point! I received emails with pictures of the different stages while they were working on my car. Everything went as smooth as possible!

We went there to look at a car my wife found in line. Unfortunately it was sold the previous night but our advisor Brian was superb. He found a couple of vehicles for us look at in the same range. Was very informative not pushy and really went the extra mile. We ultimately did not find what we wanted but he said it was their goal to help us regardless. They did and I will always tell anyone to give them a shot. Good people!
