I was surprised that they do not have WiFi, a shame really! Coffee was great though, I would suggest for a take out. Breakfast burrito was average, all I could taste was the ketchup. Blueberry muffin was underwhelming. Staff are friendly though, and there’s a lot of choice so maybe other items are more flavourful. Worth a visit for a coffee to go, do not recommend to stay in if alone, given no WiFi.
One of the best americanos I’ve ever had. Perhaps a little less strong than I prefer, but definitely full flavored. I think they are using Stumptown’s beans (I think “Hair Bender” for their espresso) which has a smooth taste with a slightly nutty, somewhat orange/chocolate-liquor flavored taste. Very pleasant! I wish there was more seating; it was very busy when I visited.
I contacted Thinking Cup to inquire about a gift card donation for a fundraiser for Boston Children's Hospital, and the manager was inexcusably rude. He cut me off after I introduced myself with a curt, "No. For future reference, it would be helpful for you to not call during a busy time, and to email all inquiries first. Put us on a do not call list." I have never been more appalled at the behavior of a manager. Was a regular customer but will never go again.
If I lived in Boston, I'd definitely be spending money in here often. The espresso is delicious and well prepared and the atmosphere is very chill and friendly.
Some of the best Hot Chocolate I have ever had. The staff are very friendly and approachable. The service is quick and spot on. The decor and atmosphere is fantastic. Inexpensive gem, would love to visit again.
Lovely cozy cafe with a good selection of pastries! The almond croissant was very good! The Chai latte was good as well! Would go again!
1st time at this place and I was approached by a worker who told me I cannot have a dog in the shop. Never asked me if the dog was a service dog. When I told him the dog was a service dog and I have papers he repeated to me that the next time no dogs allowed. I took out the cards and showed them to him and he continued to repeat himself. I asked him if he understood what I said and he wondered why I was getting perturbed. I also bought a hot chocolate that wasn’t very good. I will never go into that coffee shop again.
While it can occasionally be hard to find an open table, this is a great spot for coffee, tea, pastries and sandwiches. My favorite is a grilled cheese on sourdough with white cheddar, tomato, and arugula. Sometimes I'll also get a french macaroon or 2
A far better option than your well-known national chain. The folks behind the counter are friendly and knowledgeable. Their extensive sandwich and pastry offerings outshine the competition. Clean, secured (needed on Tremont) restrooms. Worth diverting for!
Enjoyed the atmosphere and the customer service. The coffee and latte that my husband and I had were good but the dessert was just okay. The prices are pretty steep for what you get.
Quaint spot for fancy coffee or fancier desserts. Good selection of delicious cakes which are simply delicious. Tried one of their cheesecakes and it had just the right balance of sweetness and tart. Great place to bring a date after a walk in the Common. Gets busy in the evenings with people who wear fancy hats and fake glasses.
Charming place which lives up to its reputation. The BLT sandwich was delicious. It had a nice and yet unconventional flavor. The bread, especially, was very good. Coffee was delicious. Atmosphere was quaint and memorable. The service was good and the folks we sat next to were self proclaimed Bostonian and very kind to us tourists.
Good vibe. Medium grade coffee at respectable prices. Chocolate torte was gluten free, but kind of dry
Hot apple cider and gluten free options like a gluten free tiramisu? Yes please! It was really lovely, the folks there were pleasant, and it was a darling place to have a good chat with folks at. If it's winter time and far below freezing like it was last time I went I do recommend not sitting by the door as the draft is rather strong.
The thinking cup is amazing for coffee, breakfast food, and sweet treats. They have delicious macarons! I do wish they had more seating (they have done a good job of using what space they have though), and I wish the sandwiches were bigger or came with fries/salad. Other than that, this is a great spot to grab coffee with a friend, or read a book, or get some work done!
