This is a pretty solid local ex-dive bar. Their handmade sausages are pretty good and they have inventive burgers. Try the Mr. Peanut: burger with cheddar and peanut butter. It surprisingly works! The scotch eggs are also very tasty with one of their house made mustards.
Friday nights after 8 are a good deal for hanging out with friends; they have 6 rotating taps for $2 a pint. Usually local Michigan craft stuff. The beer menu in general is Michigan craft, with some bottles from the usual places.
Homemade Brats and a fantastic beer selection. Fridays evenings after 8:00 p.m. offer $2 craft beers on a selection of 6 from the board. Beer options change frequently.
We stopped in after seeing a commercial on TV and love the concept of all the different worsts. Our drinks were delicious the food was amazing and we will most definitely be back. We would recommend the Wurst bar to anyone looking for something different.
Food is incredible. Excellent menu selections. The staff are good and keep the drinks coming. Great drink specials as well.
Best wurst bar I have ever been too. Seriously though, great value for incredible food. Some of the best food at a bar I have ever had. I have had better food at a restaurant "with a bar" but this place is absolutely a bar that happens to serve up some of the best homemade sausages you can get outside of Germany.
Fun place. Has vegetarian and vegan options! Happy hour specials aren't very special.
Ordered a bratwurst and had to wait 30 mins for it. Place was empty. When it got to me it was overcooked and dry as hell. And it cost me like 9 bucks alone. Also there pop machine was messed up, so I paid for pop that I didn't want since the one I wanted tasted like sewer water. Really is the worst bar.
Excellent service, amazing brews and damn good food. They make their own kraut which was a solid 10/10. Amazing place, deffinitly would recommend.
I only order off the specials menu because that is always great. They are named for wurst but the special board items and hamburgers are great too. Cheap drinks start at 8pm. It's a wurst and burgers joint with a chef. You can't go wrong
Great beer selection, both on tap and in the bottle or can (Old Style!), and the food is good. The crowd is diverse and all walks are welcomed, from college and hipster to straight and gay. I great neighborhood bar!
Great brats and great beer selection! Everything was delicious and my server was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. The only reason I won't go again is because my boyfriend broke up with me here. Bad memory but tasty food. Maybe I'll get takeout.
Love this bar. It has all the basic drinks you need and some decent food. Have always experience prompt service and decent food - even when it hasn't been amazing the staff has always provided an adequate remedy! And also - at this point, $1.50 wells on Saturdays? Yeah, I'm about that life.
Oh, the wurst bar. The crowd is a mix of toe Ypsilanti natives and your college kids. You certainly get that Brooklyn vibe at The wurst bar. I love that they have a juke box, helpful staff and delicious food. The Chef specials are amazing, they have unusual and flavorful wurst. The tots are also a must try. They have great burgers but they also have a lot of vegetarian and gluten free options.
Their cocktails are not their strong point and I'm not the biggest fan of their beer selection but I truly enjoy coming here.
