Find another place. Work had a Christmas party here. The waitress Teresa had a bad attitude complained I had a cooler with beer in it when I was staying in a room. Actually walked around the corner with her complaining about me and laughing about how she threatened to shut the whole party down.. of all places for someone to complain about beer in the villages..

Waited 45 minutes for food lobster bisque was so spicy some couldn't eat it they did not have and do no longer have a soup of the day as stated on the menu also they do not any longer serve lunch buffet. I Have eaten lunch buffet there 2 times in the last 4 years however the waitress said she's been there for 9 years and they have never had a lunch buffet. I even remember what I ate at the lunch buffet that I did have there and so did numerous other ladies in our bunch who also attended that lunch buffet that the waiter said they never had.

The only reason this place has 2 stars is because of walking distance to shops and restaurants. The front desk was not clearly indicated, there was no running water when I checked in because of some maintenance issue. When I got to my room, the furniture looked to be picked up from a thrift store. The color decor clashed. Nothing resembled a 3 or 4 star hotel. All of the furniture had water marks and veneer bubbling and chipping. The wicker desk chair was rickety. All the electrical outlets were not functioning appropriately. Oh this place may have a great view of an oversized golf pond, but I would never voluntarily stay here again. Luckily this last stay was on my company’s dime, or I would’ve taken myself elsewhere.

I stayed at this hotel on Saturday evening and overall the hotel had clean and spacious rooms, but the service had lots to be desired.
I had a long day of traveling and arrived around 5:30 p.m. to check into the room. there was a couple in front of me and there was only one front desk person available. The couple seemed to be looking for a room later in December of this year. Needless to say, they took quite a long time to get to a decision not to book a room. The couple then wanted to see which rooms have the best views. I waited approximately 15 minutes before I asked the front desk person if there was anybody else available to check us in. I was told that the other front desk desk person was on break and I needed to wait my turn. I came very close to leaving the hotel at this time. My entire check in process took less than 2 minutes when the person got back from break.
When I got to my room I found a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower on the towel rack. This was a minor infraction and something that I normally would have overlooked but my experience with the check-in just had me riled up.
Overall the hotel has good rooms in a good location but the staff needs better training in customer service and just being efficient.response / report this review -

We stayed four 4 nights after the Hurricane. The hotel was at full capacity. It took them 45 minutes to check us in as they couldn't find our booking. Nice staff but Housekeeping has some real issues. We never had housekeeping the entire time we were there and had to call twice to get toilet paper our last night there. Would highly recommend you bring your own. Be prepared to replace your towels yourself. I stole them from the housekeeping cart.
The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. F for housekeeping. We had excellent service and a tasty buffet breakfast the mornings we were there. Good value also for the food.
I stayed alone some and one night I had someone banging at the door, the front desk didn't answer the phone and I had to call from my cell to get an answer. Security was awesome and came up to check. It happened again, same deal did not answer guest services telephone and I had to call from my cell and the front desk guy came up. Very nice but no solution. Had it occurred again, I would have called 911.
SAFETY ISSUE: We also noticed that the stairs are kept open with a wedge and that is a security issue. The door has card access. Again, I stayed by myself at night and my room was by the stairs, I was uncomfortable knowing the door was not secure. We took the wedge out but someone put it back in each time.response / report this review -

The room was not only clean but also spacious and well put together. The shower was tiled and had dual shower heads, definite plus. The staff was always kind and eager to help.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, and if I find myself in the area again, would definitely stay again.response / report this review -

Checking in by sitting at tables is different and implies that it might take awhile. Water from the shower was extremely hot Encouraging for those who like hot showers but hard to find something in the middle for others. Great views and soft carpets in the halls. If you're taller than 6'4", you might have a hard time seeing your face in the bathroom mirror without bending. Nice area to walk around and many restaurants and even a movie theater close by. More to like than not.

Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Check-in was simple and accommodations we're ready early. Room was nicely decorated with comfortable furniture. A nice local place that takes you back in time.

My wife and I stayed there after our wedding night, we liked it so much we stayed in rather then going out for drinks with our family, coworkers and friends. Breakfast was great. Room was nice well laid out, beds were comfy, a/c worked well and the bathrooms were nice too. Seemed dated but that could be the theme.

Cute, but dirty. We checked in and the hotel has a cheeky theme but as soon as we entered our room we found that the sheets hadn't been changed, that there was a note left on the bed with lipstick stains and that the cleaning staff was very unhelpful. Moved to a second room which was alright, the pillows you sink right in to and the mattress was thick and uncomfortable. Other than that the staff were friendly and the location is beautiful.
