I am a sucker for the style, great food and the overall feel of this place.
I once treated myself with a stay here even though I live only 7 or 8 miles away and had little need to except for indulgence.
The rooms were a classy style I am familiar with from historic buildings in Lewisburg WV. Skeleton key doors here and there, ceiling heights, window style and of course, the beautiful and cozy front porch feel.
I once treated my sister to a dinner here and it was among my top pick for this area.
Nice bar area and I find it a perfect spot to take walks to downtown Black Mtn.
I look forward to my next visit.

Worst services ever. I will not be returning. They lost our reservation, we waited got and a half for food. It wasn't worth wait or money. I do NOT recommend the restaurant at all. The wait and cook staff were drinking at bar while waiting room was full of people. Never again!!

A nostalgic hotel, great staff and owner, beautiful art work thru out the hotel, ambience was relaxing, wished we could have stayed longer. Bar serves local crafted beers, continental breakfast was great.

This place is wonderful I have to say I've never been to a place like this before and I was amazed from getting greeted from an awesome receptionist from the inside Art Gallery literally inside of the hotel. The bar inside of the hotel is nicely furnished it has a very artistic vibe to the area. It's nice to see that they have actual art on mostly all the walls, which has the description and the artist name. There is a art gallery literally right next door super sweet. The hotel has a large dining room area to left when you first come in which is beautifully constructed to give you a 5 Star Restaurant feel.
And I have to give credit to one of the receptionist name Lorraine she was amazingly sweet, kind, and she had the most warming spirit to her that was phenomenal. She was willing to cater to every need that was requested without hesitation. So if you're looking for a new take on hotels this is the best place to go to because it's not your typical Hotel it's a flashback to the Past with so much class.
Thanks again Lorraine for you unbeatable hospitality.

Wifi was bad night one. But then they seemed to fix it. Decent continental breakfast with fruit, cereal, and waffles. No TVs in the rooms. No mini fridges in all but 20 rooms. Great lounge downstairs and amazing patios in front and back. Quaint stay if you're looking for no fuss.

I love this sweet little hotel! Staff very accommodating and nice. Location is great! Able to walk to a nice downtown in Black Mountain & close to Asheville. Very clean, only fault is no full length mirror.

It was antique and historical, but comfortable. Some reviews complained about the walls being thin and hearing other guests, but my husband and I had not problems. There was quite a lot of guests at the time, but we heard nothing. The staff were kind and friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

Quiet with a rustic homey feel. Everything looked, felt and smelled clean. It's a small room but they have everything you need. Bed, tv, nightstands, table and computer type chair. The walls are a little thin so you can hear anyone walking in the hallway but there was zero noise after about 11pm. All staff was extremely friendly and we'd definitely stay here again. Also, you can't go wrong with a hotel that has a permanent cat resident!

I had a brunch catered here and it was the worst food I've ever eaten No joke. A holiday inn has better breakfast.

I've been here multiple times and really have enjoyed it. The staff are great and accommodations are good. This is not a place for children or really anybody under the age of 20. It's not for families either. Business professionals, romantic weekend, or stop over - this is for you. This may sound strange but it's worth saying, leaving the property is awful. Every year I've witnessed purple almost getting into wrecks because of the location. Maybe if the Inn would cut back some of the bushes it would help? Anyway, great place to stay

These people saved me from a horrible experience with a local Airbnb that went very wrong!
Top of their season and we're able to provide me with a very nice room! And a great price too😀
This beautiful hotel is nostalgia at its best including the kitty cat that roams the hotel at leisure.
I will always stay or at least go by and visit this amazing hotel in Black Mountain.
