I've stayed here several times. It's an older place that's been refurbished Rooms are always clean, staff is friendly. Breakfast is pretty tolerable for hotel fare. Close to Pisgah Forest and a few restaurants.

We need accommodations that included our dog. This is the most pet friendly hotel we have found. One would never think a pet stayed in the room before, it smelled fresh and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly, truly a pleasant surprise.

We have been here several times and it's a decent Hampton Inn. Nothing fancy. Bathrooms are a good bit smaller than other newer properties, but shower was okay. HVAC worked well, and fridge and microwave were fine. We did not take advantage of the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Bugs, bugs and more bugs!
It was that bad they actually have a sign at the front desk telling you how bad the stink/armor bug issue is.
The girl at the front desk came up to the room with a hand vacuum to get them. She was very nice when told how bad this issue was with our room, the hotel is in desperate need of updating. We stay at Hamptons frequently and this has been the worst. This is the first time in years I've slept with my clothes on and the lights on.response / report this review -

Our original check in was for 2 nights, but due to an emergency the night before check out, the morning manager procured us additional rooms with little, if any notice. This in late October when Western NC is overbooked & we overheard they say they booked for the rest of the week. Our rooms: The queen bed is very comfortable, pillows are not-they flatten easily. The rooms themselves are very clean and comfortably set up. Neutrogena products were a wonderful surprise, as was the quality of the in room coffee. The employees on all levels were friendly and very helpful. I will definitely check in again.

Amazing place, amazing service. I would love to stay again. Great breakfast and having full access to great tea, coffee and hot chocolate 24 hours a day is great. Also love the Otis spunkmyer cookies hot and fresh at 7pm. Beautiful location with a great sushi bar within walking distance. Also behind the Hampton inn is a road with access to hiking to the top of a small mountain. It's off the beaten path.

Room was clean. Beds comfortable. Overall, though, not up to my usual expectations of Hampton. Room had no microwave or refrig and a very loud dehumidifier that ran continuously.
On Saturday afternoon and evening, staff were not visible at the desk at any of the eight times we were in and out. Polite staff both days but never a welcoming smile or effort at social interaction.
Breakfast on Sunday morning was overcooked omelets and biscuits and gravy. The orange slices did not taste like oranges.
My daughter was jonesing to swim Sunday morning but pool was not opened until almost 9 when it was supposed to be 8.response / report this review -

Check in process was very quick, complimentary parking. Really nice outdoor pool, close to Walmart!The carpet was dingy and very gross. As soon as we walked into the room, we saw crumbs everywhere, including on the bed, crumbs from the previous guest. Aside from that, it was a nice hotel. Breakfast had a lot of options, but no hot breakfast such as eggs and/or meat. The lady in the breakfast area kept everything well-stocked and clean. She cleaned up my son's mess quickly and with a smile, very nice.

Seems like an older property to me. Still very nice if hard to find. In fact, we drove past it twice due to lack of signage on the roadside. We were even using GPS at the time. Tucked back behind a Wal-Mart parking lot, then up a hillside.
Btw you need to request the microwave and mini - fridge in advance as very few rooms have them full time and they use floaters.response / report this review -

Stayed for 4 nights in a first floor room. The room did not seem to get cold enough to be comfortable despite setting the thermostat as low as it could go. Aside from that the bed was comfortable and room was quiet. I would stay here again for it's quick access to the mountain biking nearby.

My daughter and I were performing with the Brevard Wind Ensemble at the Porter Center at Brevard College. We always try to stay at a Hampton Inn any time we travel. The staff was wonderful! We had hours to burn before the concert, so they gave us a late check-out and didn't charge us. We ate a late breakfast, which was still fully supplied even at 9:45. Whenever we ever have another opportunity to play at Brevard College again, we will definitely be staying here!

Positives: Good selection at breakfast, dogs allowed, convenient location, comfortable beds
Negatives: very unfriendly employees: not greeted by breakfast staff or front desk when coming and going. Jeremy at front desk is sullen, unhelpful, unkempt and missing front teeth.
We were charged double for our dogs when this has never been done before. And although they saw on a previous stay that they only charged one pet fee they refused to change it.
The exit at the end of the hall near our rooms opened right onto the smoking area so the whole hall smelled of cigarette smoke. Was also disgusting to walk outside into a cloud of it.
Doors have no mechanism to keep them from slamming (door to exterior did) so other hotel guests were constantly slamming doors.
The bathrooms were outdated and the room was only marginally clean.
This hotel does have potential but it falls short of living up to the Hampton Brand. Next time we visit the Brevard area we will opt to camp.response / report this review
