We researched several WNC wedding venues and only had to visit one. Upon meeting Leigh Vayo, we knew. We knew we were in good hands and would be well taken care of by the Inn. All of the staff greeted us with such kindness time and again..the Front Desk at all hours, the Bartenders at all hours, Maintenance when we had a dead car battery, the Servers no matter how many guests, the Trolley Driver on time, every time and Housekeeping for any and every need. The staff at the Inn truly went above and beyond repeatedly for us and our guests.
Leigh maintained excellent communication with us from day one to the day of and days after. We could not be more pleased and absolutely feel our money was very well spent. We will be back again and again for long weekends and to celebrate anniversaries!

Had an amazing stay at this very historic Inn at Lake lure.. not as technologically advanced as most hotels but we stayed for the historic value and it was incredible.. very nice staff and great restaurants in and near the inn with other activity based places very near by including chimney rock mountain and the lake lure beach

We went for a wedding and everything was provided by the inn. Food was great and the drinks at the bar were good. We did stay the night and the room was a little small and the beds weren't as comfortable as I'd hoped. Also depending on your cell network you may not get signal, depending on how you want your stay to be that can be a positive or a negative.

Beautiful old style hotel. The staff is very attentive. Included breakfast is good but not great. The location is beautiful and across from the Lake Lure beach. Close to Morse park and town. The rooms are well equipped but tight

My husband and I just had our rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony/reception at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa and couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. Throughout the planning and execution of our event, we worked with Leigh Vayo, who is by far one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I have ever met. Leigh was always quick to respond to any of our questions and went above and beyond to accommodate our two flower puppies, families, guests, and other vendors. We had a bonfire on the beach for our rehearsal dinner and it was exactly the kind of relaxed event we were hoping for. Our wedding ceremony the following day was at the Morse Park Gazebo with our reception in the lobby, Tanner Dining Room, Veranda, and poolside. Leigh and the team at The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa handled EVERYTHING! They brought our wedding parties brunch while we were hanging out and getting ready, they greeted each of our vendors and assisted them any way they could, they handled all set up and break down of our wedding, they coordinated each event with our wedding planner, and the food was out of this world amazing! The list could go on and on! Needless to say, we love Leigh and The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa and our wedding was perfect - and their team and the stunning location was such a big part of that!

Beautiful with great customer service. Complimentary breakfast downstairs is nice, you can sit on the porch in the rockers and have a beautiful view while eating! The showers are small and pretty cramped but that's my only complaint. I'm 5'8" & slimand had to struggle to move around in the shower. But I think it's just from the time period as the whole building is, it was what they needed at some point so no big deal really to me

Worst experience I have ever had in any place I have ever stayed at. Do not book here. Made reservations at $159.00 per night and they never told us that the pool could not be used due to a wedding. So could not set out by the pool to watch my children play in the pool. We had to stay inside our room the whole time because you could not get any service because all service was on the people for the wedding which is fine. But they could have told us there was a wedding before we booked it and let us decide if we wanted to stay. And the spa wasn't in the historic building any longer. Sunday morning we went to eat breakfast and stood in line but could not get served because we didn't have reservations to eat. They don't let you know you can not eat there even if you stayed with them all weekend unless you made reservations to eat and pay extra. Animals running all over the building. Bar eating area was nasty and sticky table's and Bar area don't get wiped before you sit down. Nasty place. Will never go back.

The Inn was quaint, very well maintained and in perfect condition for its age. It has been well loved and cared for. The view of the lake and mountains were beautiful. I would highly recommend. The staff were pleasant and professional. We really liked how the roo.s were named for the famous people who stayed there, one being a former president.

    Do not book this place!!
My fiancé and I fell in love with the Inn and how caring and family oriented it appeared. We immediately secured it as our wedding venue. But then our father became terminally ill 6 months before the wedding forcing us to cancel due to his cancer. Obviously we could not plan for this. We notified the Inn who then reminded us the contract stated we would have to pay $7,000 to cancel. They said the costs was partly for future food and drink purchases which were 6 months away. We understood not getting our down deposit but to be charged extra for future food purchases when our reason for canceling was a family illness proved to us they were callous and not the family orientated venue we originally mistook them for. We tried to reason with them to do what is morally right but they repeatedly informed us it is strictly business. In the end we received the additional bill which we are left with no other option but to pay and I am writing this review to spare future brides and families an experience such as mine.

My husband and I stayed at the Lake Lure Inn & Spa for our 15th anniversary and it was great! It staff was very professional & courtious. The suite we stayed in was very nice, well equipped, and clean. The Inn and grounds were gorgeous! The location was wonderful lots to do near by, both within walking distance and within a short drive. The restaurant on premises was fabulous and had a wonderful three course special at a good price. I can't speak to the spa services, as we didn't use any of those. It was a great experience though, and we will definitely be back!
