We stay at the Savannah KOA from 11/22-11/26 the staff was very helpful and nice. The campground was kept very clean at all times you would see the staff cleaning up or escorting campers to the sites. We asked for a camp fire ring, when we checked in and they brought it to the site right away. They hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for anyone that was staying at the camp grounds and all they asked was that you brought a desert or app, they supplied all the rest of the food which was great. We will definitely stay here again.
Very nice. Campground was packed seems to be very popular. Facilities and ground we're veery clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of lake. Only reason I gave it a 4 was because we only spent the night.
Caution: if you need anything get it well before closing time. Forgot to get some wood for a fire and ran into the building around 8:55, 5 minutes before closing time and the worker said they were already closed. Claimed there was no one to deliver it even though we are about 200 feet from the building and there are workers in golf carts still driving around after 9pm. Good customer service.
We tent camped for 3 nights. This place is easy to recognize from the road. The tent sites were a little smaller compared to some other KOA campgrounds we've been to. The shower houses we nice and clean but many of the showers lacked water pressure. My biggest complaint is that the campground is between 2 large highways, that led to a lot of background ambient sound. And this would go on throughout the night. The staff was friendly and prices were reasonable.
We just returned from staying 3 nights at this campground. The main reason we chose it was based on great reviews. However, if you are looking for a quiet campground, this is not it. The constant drone of I-95 is almost unbearable sometimes. You can hear it 24/7. In addition, there are many permanent residents that live in the back of the campground adding to a constant flow of traffic in and out. On the plus side, the staff is extremely nice, the campground is very clean, and the setting is pretty on a beautiful lake.
We booked last minute for our anniversary and received a warm welcome from the helpful, friendly staff. We were treated to a charmingly rustic cabin by a lake which happened to be home to four swans. It was the perfect place to escape for awhile.
I think this is the best KOA we've stayed at and one of the best campgrounds. It was super quiet, pet friendly, and we'll maintained. I can't speak of the bath house since we did t use it. However, the office has a small shop in it with quite a lot of stuff. Staff are super friendly and eager to help. Can't wait to come back.
Great stop! Been here several times now. Neat & clean with great pool & restrooms! Sites are level with plenty of space. Pleasant, helpful staff, too.
We were going to camp but it was a particularly humid and stormy night. We choose to sleep in a cabin and it was great! The cabin had AC plus fans. It was right on the water so you could sit on the porch and relax overlooking the water.
The bathrooms are cleaned daily, and are pretty clean, lot of traffic in and out of the bathrooms so they look good for the amount of traffic.
They are pet friendly, even adding a small dog park. There are loads of swans, Canadian geese and turtles.
There is a pool, playground, dog park, laundry center, and a recreation center. The recreation center has a full kitchen, many tables and chairs, pool table, ping pong table, and tread mill.
You can rent movies as well.
This KOA takes really good care of its facilities. As we were leaving, staff were manicuring the grounds, fixing benches and cleaning the pool. The staff were also very nice.
This was our family's first trip to Georgia and we were so impressed with all of the hospitality! This KOA had a very nice and helpful staff, very clean and scenic grounds, and our lodge/deluxe cabin was immaculate! It was also very spacious and had everything we needed. It was right on the lake and the deck was wonderful to sit on and relax! The campground swans, geese, and other wildlife made our stay extra special! Thanks to all of you for making our vacation so wonderful!
We had not a reservation. We asked whether we could use the restroom and have lunch there but they said No. I understand that they can not let everyone use their facility with no reservation but I wish they could be more friendly and talk better.
Nice campground with lake with wildlife. Very quiet but don't plan on sleeping much past 5am. Many trucks leaving and a little noisy.
Great price. Cabins are great if you're in the first three near the bathroom. The others are quite the walk. The cabins have a BEAUTIFUL view of the pond, which have swans and geese. The cabin itself was clean and just what we needed: a place to sleep. We stayed there twice, and the second cabin had locks that didn't lock, which was discomforting, and there was a big piece of green gum on the wall by the bed. The campground itself was quiet at night, minus the geese social hour in the morning, which honestly, didn't bother us. Staff was super friendly and late check-in was easy. It's quite dark at night, making it a little hard to see the road and find the cabin. Bathroom was super clean.
Rented a cabin and a tent site. The cabin was nice but the tent site was literally a bed of rocks. They acted like is was common practice to try to sleep on rocks. Not only would it be extremely uncomfortable, but it wouldn't be good for my tent, and I wouldn't be able to hammer my tent pins in properly. I asked if I could pitch next to the cabin I was renting and was denied.
So basically I paid for a rock tent site I cannot use. So some of my family are not staying tonight. Very dissatisfied
My husband and I had stayed at this KOA 2 times when we were pulling our travel trailer and were very pleased with the staff, facilities and the campsites. This year we did not travel with our trailer so decided to try one of the lodges available. We signed in for four nights but ended up staying 12 nights. It was wonderful! From the lady who signed us in to the young man who showed us to our lodge (making us comfortable with all the benefits the lodge had to offer) our every need was attended to. The lodge was like our own "little house." The deck, overlooking the lake, with a grill, picnic table and Adirondack chairs, was the ideal place to watch the waterfowl and turtles. We WILL be back!!!
