Food was tasty, service nice but SLOW. We were seated at 12:25, our orders weren’t taken for 20 minutes, which left us about 15 mins to inhale our food if we wanted to leave on time. Disappointing, as the restaurant itself is precious.

Wounderful staff. Always been able to go there and choose any place to sit. Able to have planned group party's or just show up and they try to get everyone seatted quickly. Love the Ruben and the white out pizza but never had anything I did not love

Middletown MD'S gem. Enjoy Sunday brunch, a drink or a delicious dinner. They have options for vegetarians, and this is a welcome trend for the area overall. "Finest kind", you know what I mean.

Called ahead to reserve space for a happy hour and requested a drink special for our group. The drink special was delicious and the staff was attentive! We'll be back

Great food, service and staff. The Thursday night jazz entertainment is an additional benefit and setting that goes along very well with any meal. The Main Cup is one of those small town treasures, a very good experience.

The food is SO good! The service is fantastic. They are quite busy and the prices a bit high. But they have great choices. Great outdoor seating.

This place is pretty decent. In my opinion has gone slowly and slightly downhill over the years.

I like the design and decor of restaurant. Very relaxed and welcoming.

Staff is so-so. Meaning they are either great or terrible. Most of the time is the former.

Serves a variety of food. Generally food is good. Sometimes not so much. Spinach dip, burgers, and chicken tenders are consistently good. Dessert selection is decent.

Big problem for me is pricing. This place isn't cheap for amount and quality of food. But not a bank breaker by any means.

Overall safe choice for lunch or dinner.

This is the place to be in Middletown any day of the week. Offer great and respectable prices for upscale dishes. They also have incredible coffee selection. The beer and wine selection is great for meals as well. Comfortable atmosphere with a small town touch.

Perfect discovery for an out-of-towner. Diverse and excellent choices on the menu as well as a respectable beer selection.
The building is very old, although no one was able to say when it was built. The owners undertook a major restoration while managing to keep Its original character. To their great credit, they added professional acoustic treatment to the bar and live music area.
I'm working in neighboring Frederick for a few days and was looking for something beyond burgers and fries. I found it.
The Main Cup is four hours by car from my home in Norfolk, Virginia. I wouldn't hesitate to make weekend vacation of Middleton just to return here.

Always delicious food with quite large portions but I always find the prices to be somewhat high. Their salads are huge but average $12-16. But seriously everything I've ever ordered is tasty and quality food! Such a quaint restaurant with friendly staff and versatile accommodations - can hold a bible study, meet with a group of friends, hold a small biz meeting, eat with family or romantic dinner for two! Love that they have outside seating too!

This venue seems much smaller and unassuming from the outside, and my goodness is that ever a mistake! They have fantastic food, reasonably priced, polite staff.. it's a precious gem.

Visited on several occasions for dinner. Food is generally outstanding. They are quick and attentative too. Very little wait to be seated, to bring food to the table, and to refill drinks. The atmosphere has always been pleasant, cozy, and quiet.

Great local restaurant. The owner has done a fantastic job restoring the building. Has a nice European feel with exposed brick walls. Great outdoor seating in warm weather. Live Jazz Jam on Thursday nights where musicians can sign up to play. Very warm and inviting. Love the house salad with warm goat cheese. Also have very good homemade pizza and the best sweet potato fries in Frederick County.

We have eaten here for the last three years, I highly suggest Sunday brunch. The salmon, strawberry salad is excellent. The daily specials are amazing, the crab soup, crab cakes are very good. For meat lovers the cheeseburgers are melt in your mouth. They carry Smith Island Cakes for dessert, Need I say anymore. Service good and make sure you go to Jazz night.
