Ride it. It's well worth it. A great view from the top.

I work here so I am biased. It is a great spot to learn a little history and see some of the laws of Physics in motion. The gift shop at the top has some nice souvenirs and items that will get you in the Johnstown Spirit. The Visitors center in the Restaurant complex has some great photos of the incline in earlier years, and great info!

Built by the Cambria Iron Company following the disastrous 1889 Johnstown Flood, this finally induced folks to move out of the flood plain onto the hilltop because now they had a way to get back and forth to work in the city. There is an observation deck at the top, which provides a panoramic view of the city. The hilltop is a very pleasant community, tree-lined streets, well-maintained houses. The Inclined Plane runs daily, typically every 15 minutes on the quarter hour, though during the winter months it is often closed down for maintenance, so it's advisable to call ahead to confirm. Nevertheless, the ride is simply wonderful.

A weird attraction that should be included in any visit to Johnstown. Views show the terrain that puts the tragedy of the Johnstown flood in perspective.

The food was excellent at Asiago's. It was a little pricey but it was a special occasion. The view was great from the top.

Beautiful view of Johnstown on this old landmark! Asiago's restaurant is at the top and offers a nice Italian menu. Order the hot doughnuts for dessert and you'll be happy you did.

Great historic site with look out. Interesting history of Johnstown in regard to the flood. Great views for miles and miles around.

Nice restaurant on top and cheap tickets. You can take cars or bikes up it as well. Also a giftshop in which you can see how the incline works. Very interesting! Amazing overlook

Beautiful view over Johnstown! The incline plane still works, you can even take your car up and down the mountain! The restaurant connected to here is great as well!
