For the money this rates five stars. The rooms are simple, comfortable, and provide all the basic necessities. Beyond beds, not a lot of wiggle room; designed for active people who are here to explore Jackson Hole. A great staff! One of its finest features. Gotta try it. We're coming back.

This hotel/motel does not have any elevators. There are 4 floors with outside stairs. The heater in the room (on the floor) does not work correctly. When staff was informed they said it takes a "little while". There is no TV in the rooms. Their bed are hard and pillows flat. This might be a good place to stay if you're young, fit, and here for skiing! O' make sure you read their cancellation policy, they will not waiver for ANY reason, even if your room is freezing!

Stayed at The Hostel for 1 night in May as a starting point for Grand Teton & Yellowstone. Did a night in a shared room which was pretty much a bunkbed and two singles w/ an attached bathroom. Room & bed was clean and the staff was very friendly. Seems like it would be an excellent place to stay for a ski trip on a budget during the winter. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Staff is really pleasant and the rooms are clean. The Rec area is a nice size, too. Only gripe I have is the room layout. I stayed in the 4 bed female dorm. The bunk bed is right over the fire extinguisher piping. So if you're in the upper bunk you'll probably hit your head on it at least once because it runs right down the center of the bed. Fortunately 2 of the people I was sharing the room with left the next morning and I requested a bed swap, which the staff was happy to accommodate.

Would stay here again if I were in the area.

Sparse but comfortable rooms. Very clean and neat atmosphere. It's right in the village so there's tons of amenities nearby but at a much better rate than the other hotels. Staff was helpful and lots of neat people around.

Great last minute place. It is adjacent to a four Seasons and a few other high end hotels. The hostel has all the amenities you could need. The structure is wonderfully creaky. Like the old West. Very rustic. The staff is ready to help with any needs. Teton village is great retreat.

While not the fanciest place, it has a down home feeling. This is one of the oldest hotels in the village (50 years old). There are no TV's in the rooms and just a small kitchen in the lower level for all to use. The lounge is great with games, billiards and a TV to watch while relaxing. If you came to the Tetons to hang out in your room, this is not the place for you. If you came to enjoy the outdoors and just need a bed to sleep in, this is perfect. At $129 per night they blow away the competition compared to $400/night for the next closest.

I have been there with my family for two nights in June 2017.
The room had 4 beds and nothing else:
- no air conditioning
- no microwave
- no refrigerator
- no TV
- no furniture
The carpet was dirty.
I could understand if this was a cheap accommodation, but we paid 150$ per night!
Moreover, the lobby/common area (the only place with a microwave) was supposed to open at 7:30 AM, and it opened at 8:10 AM! a great start for exploring Grand Teton!

Cheaply priced. Great location. Room service doesn't show up everyday. No amenities in the rooms. OK WiFi. Perfect for a guys weekend skiing away from the wives and kids.

Cheap hotel with nice accommodations. If you're looking for just a bed to rest your head at night without much care for space then this is a great place. Right by the mountain too!

paid a fair price for a fair place to stay. was happy with the friendliness of the staff and the exceptional house maintenance that was done daily. get earplugs, it is a hostel. wish they would open the lobby for coffee earlier but other than that I have no complaints

It was hard to beat the price to stay in a private room at the hostel in the offseason. You get what you pay for, however, so this was a pretty average place. The staff was very friendly.
We enjoyed our stay, but there are several things other potential guests should be aware of. Rooms were clean, yet rather old and dated. Walls were very thin, so expect to be woken up late or early, depending on when your neighbors are walking around, shutting doors or talking. For some reason, housekeeping service did not come every day. The lobby also did not open until 8am, so this could cause an inconvenience for folks wanting an early start and to access coffee/kitchen/refrigerator area.
The Hostel is a perfect place to stay if you are realistic about what it will provide for accommodations. It's a hostel, not a hotel. If you're expecting a regular hotel, look elsewhere!

This is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. It's really more like a hotel. We got a king sized bed, private bath. Very clean. They even do daily housekeeping!! - which is the first I've experienced at a hostel! Bed was super comfy and I'm picky about that since I have back issues. My only complaint is that the 'kitchen' is not in the same room as the refrigerators and microwaves. This doesn't make any sense to me. However if you want to stay at a decent place for a great rate I'd still recommend this place over anything else. This place was nearly half the price of the cheapest hotel room we could find in the area. I'd definitely stay here again.
