Really nice, clean and laid back Nice bar/ restaurant on the oceancasual attire (which I love) The staff were really nice. The beach is great! A very busy place See you on New Year's Eve!! And in November 2018 😁
The food and service was great. Only problem I had is that I left my to-go container on the table and went back to get it about 45 seconds later to find that the table had been bused that quickly. The Busboys threw away my to-go container full of chicken wings which were really good. I ask to speak with a manager and they finally sent someone to me which I believe was just another server. She was friendly and offered to have them make me more wings. I didn't have time and just suggested that they educate the busboy on how to properly bus a table. And how to handle any left behind items. It's not like food is served in a to-go container so if there is one on the table after people leave it most likely has food that they meant to take with them. Why not set it aside for a few minutes at least. I have eaten here several times before is I was born in Vero Beach. I will definitely eat there again but I was just a little frustrated by that.
Love this place and how everything is. My grandparents stay here every year and love it. Just wish they had better drinks of the day and a little better food price. But will always come here!!!
I've only eaten here, and based upon the food alone I can only give 3 stars. Most of the menu items are fried and of the food I've tried they're also poor quality. The view though cannot be beat! So if you're into bar food or just want to sip on a drink while you stare at the beautiful waves, then this place is a dream come true.
The driftwood definitely is a nice place to stay. I'm not aware of the cost to stay, but it has a rustic feel inside. The stoves are old, fridge okay, and antics laid around. The bathroom had a jacuzzi. The sheets for the pull out bed has stains but the master bed was phenomenal. Plenty of channels on the TV. Couldn't find the wifi password. The area was nice.
After posting a negative review on TripAdvisor, all I received was negative comments back from the manager. The air conditioner didn't work in my room. The front desk hung up on me when I called about it. I finally called back when I realized they weren't calling me back. I was unaware air conditioning repairmen only worked when it wasn't raining? Apparently, this is the case with this resort because that was the managers reasoning for not having a maintenance man available. The new room I was moved to was a lower priced unit and they adjusted my rate to EXACTLY the rate of that room despite having to move in the middle of the night. I woke up in the new room to ants crawling all over the kitchen counter. Also, for almost $200 per night, they have a $3 shower head in the bathroom. If dumpy rooms, rude management and high prices are your desire, this place is perfect !
This a great place to have a drink in the afternoon or evening as the sun sets. There are beautiful ocean views if you stand by the rail at the steps to the beach. They have their own Waldo's brew for beer drinkers as well as other draughts and bottles. I've had a special Rum Runner bucket, too. Dinner can be hit our miss but you can have oven view tables. I did love the grouper plate. Spring break almost broke the kitchen recently, though.
A unique place with lots of history. There is often live music at the bar/restaurant (Waldo's) ok the weekends, and you are right on the ocean. All rooms include a kitchen. There are gas grills available for guests. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance. A great place to spend a week with your family or to get away.
Great food, oceanside and poolside dining. Waiter a bit rude and overly intrusive A bit pricy for lunch. Extensive liquor options if desired.
Off the chain in uniqueness. Pleasant staff great food and nice beachfront. Quiet and restful too. Give it a try.
Great views, but they wont let you rent the patio, even when my wedding party would be spending around 3k at a minimum.
I love the dining set up, overhanging the ocean, sky for your ceiling. Ocean waves lapping nearby. Fun spot on week/ends- music on Sat afternoons. Lots of fun..
Location on the ocean was beautiful. Awesome band. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Wednesday night, were told we had about an hour wait. Music was good, so we didn't mind. Finally got seated after 2 hourswould never have waited had we known how long. Dinner was OK, drinks, music and location very good. Happy Hour drink prices very reasonable and lasted till 7pm.
