I am so mad at this place. Their website and thejr answering machine says they will be open on Friday from 10-4 guess what they're not open. We drove from 2 hrs away. This is the 2cd time theyve done this. I liked it because they have good dirt, not just a pile of rocks like everywhere else. I could cry because it is ruining a vacation.

Our family had a wonderful time mining for gems. We found lots of good stones and Matt over at the jewelry store was great to work with. He made us some fabulous pieces of jewelry that we will treasure for a long time.

We've enjoyed gem mining at this location for the past several years. Zach and Matt are both extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. We have had huge emeralds, peridot, and sapphires cut. We are quite pleased and always look forward to coming back. This year I had a sapphire cut. Here is the before and after pictures. The after yielded two very dark sapphires at an oval cut that were both over 3cts!
