Good beer. Loved the amber and the brown! And the mustard that came with the pretzels
Love this place! Awesome beer and atmosphere. My only criticism is do not bake the wings!! The skin was soft and chewy. Could only eat one bite.
I own a brewpub as well with a co-owner. I am a professional brewer of 17 years. I visited this place for the first time today. My quick take on the 8 samples I had was on point. Expect me back.
Uly's is one is the nicest stouts I've ever had.
Just had a couple of beers here. Excellent staff and the Beer is pretty good.
The beer was great but the food was pretty average. The cheese curds were OK, but the pulled pork sandwich was very generic. Just pork on bread with nothing else, and I thought the pork didn't have much flavor. Service was slow, and not because it was busy. We could see our server sitting off to the side eating and just choosing not to come over. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience ever, but I won't be going back any time soon.
My mom and I visited the brewery on a Friday and ordered a flight, which was only $5 and all the beers were delish! The bartender was fantastic, he answered all of our questions and was just genuinely a nice guy. We also took the tour which was a nice way to spend an hour and get a beer all for $8! We went back the next day and tried the nachos, which were extremely spicy. Next time we will probably just stick to a beer.
A good selection of brews all made in-house. There were a couple of stouts, some ales, a hefeweizen, and a pilsner. There were six house brews and six seasonals available when we visited. Flights were available for the house brews and the seasonals. We visited on a Tuesday and they had $3 pints. The food selection was in-line with a pub menu. The service was quick and the food was great. Our server Bryan was knowledgeable and helpful and made some excellent recommendation for food pairings on the beer.
Slow service. Pasmesean garlic wings were very bland. I don't know about other foods, but don't get those wings.
Food wasn't the greatest and server forgot to bring silverware. The place was getting busy and only one server.
Love this brewery. The beer is as great as the staff. David was very knowledgeable about their beer and incredibly accommodating. Definitely make this brewery a stop on your next trip to Galena!
My husband and i were here 2 years ago. 2 years ago, my review was that the food was just Ok, and the craft beer lacked the ultra-filtered, smoothness factor i enjoy in craft beer.
Now, 2 years later, we gave it another try.
Immediately, we noticed the bar was moved, the couches were taken out, and there was an area for live music where a guy was singing and playing guitar, he was great. Also, we noted the craft beer selections on the chalk board, including the seasonal craft beers A+ for that!
First of all, The Beer- AMAZING! A+
I first had the peach seasonal beer, it was really wonderful.
Secondly, we ordered a flight of house craft beer-A+ I dont know what has changed, but we truly enjoyed them all.
Lastly-The Food-A+ the chicken wings were AMAZING, as well as the flatbread..the cherry tomatoes on it were incredible A+
To sum up our review, of you havent been to Galena Brewing for awhile, I urge you to try it again, you wont be disappointed.
Also, a shout out to our waitress LO, great customer service skills, and knowledge about the beer and foodwe tipped her well!
