Western themed dining experience with excellent atmosphere & food. I’ve been here 5 times since I moved to Denver & have not yet had a bad experience. The prices are on the steeper side of the spectrum, but worth it when you endure in the wild game & local fair offered.

The food here is exquisite! I had the bison medallions and can honestly say that I've never had a more satisfying plate anywhere else. We also had the rocky mountain oyster appetizer and it was a huge portion and also delicious. This place is on the pricey end but it was worth every penny.

service was great, atmosphere was great. had the bean dip for appetizer and was great. i had the bison steak, cooked amazing but didn't have a whole lot of taste with it. other than that, meal was great and will return for special occasions.

Holy cow this place was awesome! The food and staff were amazing and the atmosphere was unique. Definitely a place for people who like meat. They have vegetarian options of course (my sister had the vegan peppers), however, I feel as though this place is aimed more towards meat eaters for sure. DELICIOUS.

I love this place! I have been here for numerous occasions. Dates, celebrations, or just taking people visiting CO. Yes you are paying for the atmosphere but the food is excellent as well. The teriyaki quill is a must have for sure. I also recommend the bison tongue. Great service, amazing atmosphere, fantastic food. What more can you ask for?

This place is fantastic!

I'll start with service. The waiter and waitress that were running food and answering our questions were awesome. Very knowledgeable about the food and had answered any questions we had and also gave suggestions.

Food - I had the buffalo tongue as an appetizer and the bone marrow as well. Both were fantastic. Main course consisted of buffalo steak medallions. Tender and made perfect. Can't wait to come back and try some more!

One star knock off for price. My gosh. I get it's only a special occasion kind of place but 4 of us with only 2 drinks cost 300 dollars. Be ready to spend money.

I had Rocky Mountain oysters, bison, quail, and elk for dinner. Everything was great. They do have more pedestrian options, steaks and turkey soup, etc. Everything was delicious. If I'm in the area again I will definitely go here again.

Made reservations, but they couldn't find when we arrived. Table and chairs were not level, the floor must have been on a slope. T-bone special had more grissel and fat than I have ever seen. Even outback has a better T-bone! Atmosphere is nice, but not for a mediocre high price meal.

This place was fantastic. It is also where I'm having my rehearsal dinner now. The service was great and the food was mouth watering. I had the St.Vrain Elk Chop cooked medium. It was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever eaten. It was savory and sweet with the huckleberry preserves. Very very delicious!

We held a rehearsal dinner for our son and his new bride. The venue is gorgeous and the staff was wonderful. A special Thank You to Ashley Shade and Eric and team! You all made us feel very welcome and Ashley you did a great job coordinating the event! All of our guests commented and the hospitality provided by The Fort team. Thanks again!

I loved the July special with buffalo ribs, spare ribs, salad, and cherry pie for $39 (+$5 for Mac n Cheese upgrade), the best deal at The Fort. Our server Kevin took great care of us too! Try the chocolate chili bourbon cake too! Maybe they have coyote and buffalo hats for birthday celebrants to wear too. Make reservations and plan to spend some time here, our dinner was about 2 hours long. There is a lower level parking lot with some handicapped parking.

Some unique dishes like quail, buffalo,etc.
Good service. The food is good and well prepared. A bit pricey - expect to pay $60-$75 per diner, plus tax and tip. Nice view from the restaurant and an amusing, but somewhat touristy entrance. Outside seating is an option and you will want to wander around out back and take a few pictures.

Most folks agree it is a great place to bring out of towners. Unique, historical, creates a memory. It is worth it to go. Great buffalo and elk, rattlesnake, and if you are a bit adventurous Rocky Mountain Oysters. Good experience. Good special occasion place.

I have been wanting to go here for a few years, but other family was indifferent. Now they are talking about going back. Our food was really good, service was good and it was all relaxing. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. Only down side were 2 things: First were the beans. They were kind of crunchy or not cooked enough. I make beans from dry beans and love eating them, and these were not up to par. The flavor wasn't that great either - lacked flavor. The second was the cast iron cobbler. Just looked like a few things dumped into a pot and served. Two of us got this (apple that day) and it just wasn't presented right nor did it have that full flavor we were both expecting. We will still go back, but more cautious about what we order I guess. For the price paid, there should not have been things like the beans and desserts served as they were. Oh yeah, and they brought the bill while we were eating dessert - not cool at a high end restaurant. Wait until we are done.
