I've been hearing great things about The Farm Table since shortly after they opened. The food and service live up to the word of mouth. Finally went there with a group of friends for Sunday brunch. It looks great inside, a cross between classic tavern/farmhouse and high end cafe/bar.
Most of my friends ordered the eggs Benedict, they looked delicious and I heard numerous reports that they were. I ordered the French toast with lemon blueberry said and maple cream glaze; It was amazing. Even the kids pancakes my daughter had we're well presented and surrounded by blueberry's, she didn't quite finish them so i can vouch for their tastiness as well. The hash browns that came with the eggs Benedict are a mix of potato, sweet potato, and onion, they were sweet and savoury.
We also ordered the cornbread with garlic butter and pepper jam. The cornbread was a bit dry to me, but very flavorful. The garlic butter/pepper jelly mix helped significantly with the dryness.
We will return here again to try the rest if the menu.
The good: excellent service and friendly staff, and of course the farm to table experience.
The bad: Food was not as good as expected. Very Overpriced. Out of the 3 appetizers, two salads, and 2 main entrees, only about half was good. The entrees were way over priced. For example, the shrimp and grits, (4 shrimps on top of a third cup of grits) for $25 is way over priced.
The Farm Table is worth the 1.5 hour drive every time! The food is always superb and nothing beats the freshness of a farm to table meal. The wait staff are excellent and accommodating. The restaurant has a rustic and cozy atmosphere. Plus you can stop by Kringle candle, the Christmas shop, chocolate shop, and enjoy!
Great food and ambiance and amazing artisan cocktails. Antiques and reclaimed building materials add tremendous character to the place as well as both indoor and outdoor dining with fireplaces. After dinner stroll the grounds and do some fun shopping for candles, candy, housewares and other fun items. A great day trip!
Wonderful atmosphere, delectable meal choices prepared with attention to detail.
I discreetly asked the love of my life to marry me over a fireside dinner before New Year's and the manager and staff were amazingly gracious and generous throughout the evening.
I have enjoyed meals by some of the highest rated restaurants in the US, and will gladly recommend the Farm Table and their staff to anyone.
Went there because of the great reviews. It was excellent. The food and service we're phenomenal! The experience was well worth it. The facilities are also very accessible and in great condition.
Always wonderful good pairings. Flavors combine and accent perfectly. A perfect stoppi,g point in our way to Connecticut
Always an enjoyable meal. Went for a Labor day lunch and wasn't disappointed. We have been a few times for dinner and the meal is always well prepared and the atmosphere is mellow. I never bring my young children because it would ruin it for me and everyone else. Best food in Bernardston. But i guess that isn't saying much. Best in Greenfield area, maybe #3 in Franklin County.
Upscale but not stuffy. The menu is very interesting and the pulled pork ravioli is innovative and excellent. The portions are right-sized and extremely well presented.
I always love coming here. Their menu always seems to be different and the staff is always super nice. Many farm to table restaurants I find to be tough when it comes to making changes to things you order, but they are never bitter. The food has always been excellent and it is a great environment. We always make a whole trip out of coming here so we can venture into their multiple stores ranging from candles to candy to fudge, oil, and loose leaf teas.
