Don't tell anyone about this place. I love the food. Great lunch place to get good Cali-Mex food. Quick in/out, good service and reasonable prices. Never too crowed at lunch. Have not been here for the Comedy club but that sounds good for after work.
Its a decent spot for tex mex, the server was great. I had fish and shrimp tacos and my friend had a shrimp burrito. The flautas were really good, they'd be perfect with a bit more cheese and bacon. Downstairs has an array of pinball and a stage area
Ghostbusters pinball is the best. Love the outdoor space tho wish it was open later than 10pm. Food is okay, but they've got El Yucateco hot sauce so they get an extra star. Always free comedy too.
Used to love coming here. Our last visit was a bit disappointing. They had changed their menu and raised prices, understandable they need to stay in business. But the quality of the food changed and was not as good as before. As well they do not do chimichanga styled food on the weekends and we came on a Monday and they weren't doing fried foods at all? Their quality and service has declined in the past few months and this was probably our last visit because of this. Sorry to say. Other than that they have really decent drink deals so if you're looking to drink it's not a bad place to go to, although I'd skip the sangria it's always watery tasting.
This is a great little restaurant with a good range of dishes and really open to substitutions, from vegan cheese to vegan sour cream for all the lactose intolerant people out there. The burritos are great (my favorite is the spinach one) but I also enjoyed their fajitas and tacos. Quick to deliver and always free chips and salsa.
Love this spot so much, free comedy and cheap drinks with food available. How could you not love it. Be open minded with the comedians and you'll have a great time
Pretty nice restaurant with a bar/comedy club in the basement. I had a great time preforming here and the bartender was cool and poured strong drinks.
I had some vegetarian tacos on Taco Tuesday and they weren't bad. Pretty good, but not spectacular. I think they should throw some other yummy goodies into the tacos to make them more tasty. The atmosphere is very chill and hip, which I like. The time I was there, a comedy show was going on, so the dining room was kinda empty, but they seem pretty popular on nights that comedians come through. I'll go back for another try. :)
I love the creek and the cave. My friends and I have had many awesome drunken nights. Fabulous bar tenders and workers.
Whether you're visiting NYC, or live here and for some insane reason, haven't been to the Creek yet, it's a must visit. There are 2 stages, a bar, a whole mess of pinball machines, a beautiful back patio, and a full menu of delicious food that they serve up along side healthy doses of laughs.
The stages showcase a diverse mix of entertainment from stand-up comedy, story telling, improv and variety shows that run the gamut. The Creek provides a stage for hilarious up-and-coming comedians that will go on to become some of the biggest names in comedy in the future, and they have drop-ins and residencies from the biggest names in comedy today.
If you're not on your way to the creek by the time you finish reading this sentence, you're doing life wrong.
This place is amazing! The food is so great - the menu is big so there are lots of good choices and honestly, IT'S ALL GOOD. You can't beat the drink specials, and the staff are warm and welcoming. I frequent this place often and it feels like a home away from home. The best part about this place is that they have FREE comedy EVERY NIGHT. When friends and family come in town, I bring them here. You don't have to deal with the prices and foot traffic of Manhattan to enjoy awesome shows and awesome food. It's so easy to commute to. I can't recommend this place enough. They do a lot for the arts and fostering the arts, so if that is something you appreciate, this is a great place to support. I have NOTHING bad to say about Creek and the Cave. Not one thing. If you are on the fence about where to eat or enjoy entertainment, just know this is your BEST option.
This place is many things in one. Two areas for comedy shows upstairs and downstairs. Mexican restaurant. Food is pretty decent, solid Mexican food. Downstairs area has a bar with about 7 pinball machines. It's pretty chill and entertaining. It's like you are hanging out in someone's basement with pinball machines. Get out there with friends very enjoyable place to meet up and have beers and play some pinball.
Had the big burrito and it was fantastic. Got surprised with some up charges for sour cream and chocolate sauce, and the margarita was a bit sweet. But good food nonetheless.
