We were very pleased !! We went to see the fantasy of lights & needed to be there at 7:30. We had read some bad reviews about service but we found the food & service to be good. Enjoyed the food and the gorgeous lights was worth the 200 mile trip there & back.
We hadn't eaten there in a couple of years due to bad experiences but we tried it again last night and it was another mistake. The service was bad even on a slow night. The food is and overpriced for what you get. The last time I had a pot roast and I could tell it came out of a bag and was microwaved. Our girls had chicken fingers and even they were overcooked. They give you a small mason jar glass. Good luck with getting a refill. The food was overcooked but cold when we got it. The presentation was bad. Everything that could be spilled was spilled on the plate when it arrived. The waitress couldn't even muster up enough effort to refill a glass without spilling it. I don't think anyone cares from management to the wait staff. With Fantasy in Lights going they should be packed 10 days before Christmas on a Friday night. The place was maybe 1/3 full. That tells you a lot about that the locals think. Keep on driving to Pine Mountain - there are several good places to eat there.
Got takeout here. Nothing too major here, but it was a decent place close by that was a lot less expensive. The food we got was good. There was no crowd when I went in. The wait was only about 10 minutes.
The food packed pretty well. There were some minor problems with it, but nothing major. It was a good meal for not too much and it was very close.
Best part of it was the sugar-free muscadine preserves that they sold.
Nice service. I ordered a sandwich and sweet potato fries. The food was a bit pricey for sandwiches, however there was a nice view.
Amazing food.. Fast and friendly customer service. Quality food for a reasonable price.
I used to love this place until my most recent visit. We had a party of about 11 and the waitresses were literally not even trying because they knew they'd get 18% gratuity. The biscuits were gummy and cold, we were served raw chicken(I have pictures) and there was a very long hour wait for the food while people who ordered after us were already getting theirs. The waitresses did not refill our drinks and we basically choked on our food. Not only did this leave a bad impression on some in my party who's this was the first time dining, but also those who have dined here several times. We likely will not return.
Edit: Get bigger cups too, less on the waiters who already don't refill your drinks.
Great southern experiencefood is delicious, view is amazing (it is mountain-side, with an enclosed patio overlooking a giant forest), good country music playingdoesn't get much better than this. Definitely a MUST, if in the area.
My favorite place for breakfast! The overlooking view is amazing! Great food, friendly staff and fast service!
Great food. Wonderful service. Love the scenic view. Very friendly waitress and efficient.
The service is great the food wonderful and this happens every time we visit.
The breakfast here was excellent. Will definitely be coming back again.
Read the reviews and came close to not eating here. Glad we ignored them! Awesome view and good down home cooking!
The service was average, and not much to say about that. The food however was COLD!! With how long it took for our food to arrive one would think that it was being prepared on the spot. Unfortunately that was not the case. When our food arrived the food (pork platter with fries, beef platter with fries, pork ribs and sweet potatoe) we're more cool than warm and the plates the food was served on were no warmer. When asked by the cashier attendet, "How was everything?" I responded with "Cold. The food was cold but we ate it anyway because we were hungry." I did receive a shocking look from both young women at the register but that was it. There was no apology given or compensation offered for the poor food quality. Just a flabbergasted look. Needless to say my family and I will never be dining there again.
To rate this restaurant you must put at least one star. If I could take this one star away I would. We were quickly seated but the hostess seemed annoyed with us because we did not want to wait for a window seat (the restaurant had maybe 8 customers with the same amount of STAFF!!!!). 30 MINUTES LATER NO DRINKS WERE TAKEN AND NO ORDER WAS TAKEN. The staff just LOOKED at us. The restaurant was not even busy. This is the worest review i have had to write on google.
