The ambiance was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. We,(myself & 2 friends weren't pleased with the menu items.

Food is slightly overpriced but it is nice to see that they source locally. My sirloin was tough and it would have been nice to have some kind of trappings for the baked potatoes. Great selection of beer and the waitress was very good and knowledgeable.

The cottage on Dixie is one of the hidden jewels of the South suburbs.
Everything is artisan.
They have their own greenhouse where they grown their own spices and herbs!!
..Everything is locally sourced.
The staff is friendly and knowledable.
The bar is amazingwith one of the best bloody Mary bars on the planet(weekend only)
The food is amazing

Nice cozy restaurant. Food very pricey even appetizers. We had a cheese board$16. We enjoyed the crackers they were made fresh in the restaurant and we enjoyed just a couple of the cheese out of the three given. We considered purchasing another with the cheese of our preference but we were told we could not select the cheese we preferred but we would be required to purchase them all. My mother ordered a drink she did not like she did not drink any of it she was told she would still be charged for it and it could not be exchanged.Love the freshness of the produce used and like the fact local farms are used. We had two salads two Brazilian appetizers a cheese board and two mojitos and a cookie tray (which was yummy) and spent well over a $100 I believe something like $120 for the two of us.

Wonderful dinner! Farm to table restaurant with fantastic house made cocktails. I had the hot one which was delicious. They gave us complementary house made crackers with their strawberry jam (as pictured below). Portions are very large so you won't leave hungry. I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner.

Where is the 6 Star option when you need it?! This place is incredible, the staff is far and away the nicest group of people to serve you, the food is exceptionally fresh and well prepaid, super comfortable ambiance, I could go on and on. My only problem is it's 45mi from my house - but it's worth the drive!!

Every time I've come here, the food, service and ambiance have been wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed the shepard's pie (delicious!), cabbage soup (wanted to lick the bowl clean-so flavorful and creamy!), bourbon sangria and English tea martini (all specials for March). Our server, Melissa, was friendly, helpful, and very attentive-she's seriously one of the best servers I've ever had! The ambiance of this place reminds me of an upscale cottage home, and it appears as if the main goal of this place is to feed you detectable delights (local, responsibly sourced food) while making you feel like you're at home. The menu is ever changing (this is our 3rd time here, and each time they've had a different menu!) so it keeps things interesting and we continue to look forward to future visits! We haven't taken our children here, simply because it's so QUIET and relaxed in here, our kids would definitely change the ambiance for everyone elseplus it was our date night! That's not to say children aren't welcome here-I'm sure they are. :) Great place for a fancy dinner without the traffic and ridiculously long wait times at other places (e.g., Chicago restaurants, Orland restaurants)-and the food is superb!
