Great hotel close to the Back Bay train station, was perfect for me to stay 1 night before taking an early train to NYC. Room was stylish and spacious and the bathroom was great! Good WiFi too and very quiet at night

This Hipster hotel in a recovered brownstone building tries hard but misses the mark if you're diabled. You have to go to a sub basement level then up 5 stairs to get to the disabled suite. Crazy plus there was a foul odor in the common area by the elevator. The room was clean, sweet understated modern decor but the bed was nothing to write home about. The heater in the bathroom didn't work and that was an issue waking up for an early flight when it was 20 degrees outside the floor and bathroom (remember, sub basement) were very cold and nothing bugs me more than leaving a hot shower for an ice box! The front desk girls were pleasant but the only place to leave suitcases prior to check in was behind the bar. Not my idea of secure. Keep your expectations low and remember the location is Prime and KEY, and you won't be disappointed

Beautiful modern hotel in a great, central location. Room was smaller but more than sufficient and had great decor and amenities.
Staff also great and bar was lovely. In addition, bottled water is available at front desk for $1 and there's tea and coffee available at all hours beside the bar area.
Tickets were available for the trolleys but they were cash only. In addition we were in the off season so got a better deal online but still good to have available.
All in all, a splendid hotel and will definitely be back.response / report this review -

Heat didn't work on an unseasonably cold October night. Shower pressure weak. Furniture dated. Bed comfortable, good location and view, good value if things had worked!

Great location right on the main strip with lots to do (Shopping and dinner). We stayed for one night in a queen room. Rooms were small and quaint, perfect for a quick in and out stay.

Small room but so cozy. Friendly staff, and good drinks. Although very pricy, it was cheaper than a lot of others in the neighborhood.

This was the perfect hotel for us. Nice bedroom with good shower. A nice selection of music on system. Nice bagels for breakfast with lovely big red apples. Nice flatbread selection in the evening

Was really bummed that they get good ratings but it didn't come close to living up to it. I stay in boutique hotels all the time and rarely stay in the same one twice. I have no need for ameneties but this hotel felt dirty. The mouthwash in my room was open and there were stains on the bedspread. Linens were cheap, rough and thin. I will say my room had an amazing view of the Boston marathon finish line but I will never stay there again.

Great location, very nice rooms. Very clean and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!
Only complaint is that the complementary internet is advertised as high-speed when in reality it's even worse than dial-up speed at times. I came here for work so it's a little inconvenient.response / report this review -

Room was right next to hotel bar and you have to walk through the lounge to get to your room which is a little awkward. Location is great though

I picked this hotel for the location. It is literally right at the finish line for the Boston Marathon. Back Bay area is fantastic. The room itself was a pretty small and had no view. It was also directly off of the lounge/bar. It was weird to be that close to the noise.

Pretty good hotel. Rooms are pretty small by American standard, but I find it ok. Staff is friendly and helpful, nothing wrong to say. The location of the hotel is perfect, in the center of Boston and the public transport is very close.
Other than that, the room cleaning was not perfect every day unfortunately, there was no curtain and only blinds so get ready to be waken up by the sun at 6am. The room are not so well isolated so you can hear noise from your neighbours and the neighbourhood sometimes.
I did not check what the free breakfast was before booking, but it's orange juice, coffee, bagels, apples and bananas. It can get boring after a few days. If you want anything for your first meal, you'll need to go outside.
Finally, the free WiFi is limited to 1 MBps, which is pretty slow for 2017.response / report this review -

Great For One-----or intimate couple!
Pros:
- very affordable----by Boston standards
- next to or near Convention center, finish line, library
- every cuisine imaginable within 2 blocks
- nice computers and printers in lobby if needed
- excellent continental breakfast; bagels the size of a discus and oranges as large as a small child's face
- super fast elevators; never had to wait more than 10 sec
- fantastic staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! everyone from desk to maintenance was friendly and helpful
- enthusiastic bar environment------if you're into that
- nice bathroom in room
Cons:
- tiny bed; OK for one-----or 2 if both are stationary sleepers. 2 big people would NOT fit and if some is a mover they'd knock the other one off
- narrow hallway. If you're carrying a lot of stuff, GOOD LUCK
- confusing keys and room lighting system
OVERALL: would highly recommend if alone and attending convention at Hynes Center. Save BIG $$$ off major chainsresponse / report this review
