This is an overdue review from our visit in July! The C Shop was fantastic and we visited there multiple times on our visit to Birch Bay. We had pizza, sandwiches, salads, snow cones, ice cream, bread, cinnamon rolls, and coffee--all delicious! The owners were so friendly and welcoming--even taught my daughter how to eat her first snow cone properly, which was so fun! They also showed us how they roast their own coffee beans.
Everybody loves the C Shop! Wonderful ice cream and chocolates. Free wifi.
Fun place for a quick bite on Birch Bay
Good food. Good treats. Good people. Fair pricing for tourist based business.
Friendly employees and a clean quaint little snack shop. The first entrance contains 8 flavors of ice cream. A nice place to go get ice cream on a hot day.
Awesome place to go for the whole family. Super nice staff and surprisingly low prices. Gets pretty busy at times but well worth the crowd
The candy we got (seafoam, fudge, & saltwater taffy) was quite good. I'm pretty sure the taffy wasn't made there but was packed in a bag with their name on it as if it had been (hence the 3 stars). There was only one clerk on the candy/ice cream side, so it got busy and backed up fast. That was especially apparent because of the close quarters. Still, it was a nice place to stop in for some treats.
One half of the C Shop is a cafe (order at the counter, pick it up there, and seat yourself. They have sandwiches, wraps, milkshakes (so good!) and malts, an ice cream counter, etc. Just good food. And the people who run it are super nice, too.
You can eat inside and there are also some small tables out on the porch.
The other side is a candy shop -- they make their own chocolate and sweets. Or you can get prepackaged candy (for example, jelly beans or salt water taffy, etc.).
Really good place to stop for a bite to eat or some treats on a trip to the beach.
Knowledgeable staff, amazing treats, great location!
Great staff, large pizza, turkish delight, chocolate and more amazing sweets!
Family and community thrive here! Amazing candies and ice creams! Wish they were open in the winter!
A really fun little store with a surprisingly good gluten free selection (cinnamon rolls, waffle cones). Great hand made chocolate with a fun window to watch them work. The nice lady making chocolate was able to explain tempering and the melting points of different phases of chocolate, which I thought was really impressive.
I grew up with this shop and I still visit anytime I'm on that side of the United States. My memories of the white chocolate/caramel boats is so sweet, that I have put the candy in my novel entitled STARS IN THE GRASS and I send them to my cousin who shares my sweet tooth. Now I'm planning on sending some to my publishing house, too!
