Unique independent hotel on Pine Lake. I stayed in a romantic second floor lake view room that was large, light, with a comfortable king bed and a jacuzzi tub. The breakfast was simple and included an excellent scrambled egg and quality sausage along with fruit, waffles and toasts.

We stayed in a top floor lake view room and we're very happy with the stay so far. The room is spacious, view is nice and the room is clean. The furniture and fixtures are outdated but clean. The staff is also friendly. It's a great location as we're 5 minutes away from a nice small town that offers some great places to eat. We're also 30 minutes away from the sand dune beaches in Michigan City Indiana. You get a lot of amenities for the price (jacuzzi in the middle of the room, fireplace and nice balcony). We'll likely be staying here again!

Just spend 3 nights at the Blue Heron. Had room 204. Jacuzzi, fireplace, king-sized bed, refrigerator, plenty of room. Patio maybe 30 feet from the water. We have stayed here twice. Love the place, the owners, the breakfasts. Anniversary of visiting the first time will be in August. Hope we can stay again at that time.

Lovely location right on Pine Lake. The rooms are picturesque, with options for a fireplace, or a 4 poster bed, or jacuzzi available. Breakfast included. Good WiFi. Nice place for a getaway.

Good in a pinch. Got in late and they were very helpful in getting a room for the night. overlooks a nice lake. breakfast was nice.

This hotel has the old world feel that paces had before computers and chain hotels took everything over. The rooms even have real keys! The hotel overlooks beautiful Pine Lake and the restaurant on the ground floor is very tasty.

Mary at the front desk was amazing and intuitive to my exhaustion. She even carried my bag upstairs!
I was shocked at jacuzzi & fireplace in my room for the price. Everything was clean and quiet. I slept undisturbed and very comfortable. Highly recommend. Food at T Bones did not disappoint.

Very nice hotel the price is on point for the rooms with hot tub, fireplace, on the lake, free continental breakfast. We love that fact that it has the Steak restaurant T-Bones right on sight. Delicious food! Great customer service very personable staff in hotel and restaurant. This may be a 4 star hotel for people expecting all the glamour because it is a little outdated but it is very clean and I would definitely recommend this hotel for a couples night away.
