Greasy lip marks on rim on wine glass. Sent it back and server returned with the wine in another glass with the SAME problem. I've been here before and enjoyed it, and I will assume this is going to be a temporary problem that they will straighten out post haste.

Me and my fam traveled to D.C and ate here they had thanksgiving dinner buffet by far it has been the worse I have ever eaten we where all so disappointed. The mac n cheese tasted burnt. The turkey wasn't cut it was pulled terribly and was dry everything was cold as heck. A man had warned us to not go in we all said jeez his so negative and ignored him we should of listened!!!!Sorry service was rude as well the poor manager lady was all alone and seem to not be okay in understanding English she was out of it completely. Also the door guy was a bit rude at first. I use to work at a restaurant so did my husband so we know what we are talking about. I felt like I had to post I'm a very positive person but this was craziness. How ever I see many great post here maybe on a non holiday service is better and customer service is better I don't know, as far as us we will never go back we are just to scared.

Legit beer list that is in top category for the city. Food never disappoints. If you get the wings, can't go wrong with the mojo sauce. The upstairs and downstairs bars offer slightly different feelings from night to night.

We made it right after happy hour which ended at 8pm. But we still enjoyed some good beers. Open Mic night was pretty cool. It wasn't crowded. The patio is nice.

Enjoyed a chill night with my friends here. The food was tasty, the comedy was hilarious and the customer service was great. We enjoyed it and we will revisit again for ladies night.

Great dive bar in the DC area. Haven't found many bars in DC that has the variety seen in my hometown of Cincy. Lots of craft beers, they don't even sell your typical domestics! The bartenders are really nice, and quite passionate about the beer they sell. They're always looking to bring in great unknown beers from outside the area.
Great band while I was there too! The bottom floor is more the dive bar variety, with the second and third floors being more chill.
Looking forward to hearing back there when I'm in the area again! Keep it up!response / report this review -

Held a birthday party here. Power went out, but the crew kept serving and we had a blast. Good for people watching and a nice low key vibe let's me hear my friends even when the bar was getting full on a Saturday night

We were immediately greeted and seated. We requested the bar area to take advantage of the happy hour specials. LouAnn was a wonderful server, the beers were offered for a value with the happy hour, and most appetizers were half off of their menu price. We tried the spinach dip, shrimp cocktail, nachos, and Jack sliders. All appetizers were the correct temperature, as described in the menu, and we enjoyed the taste. The restaurant itself is a little dated but the booth was clean and had no visible rips tears.

I can only speak on the first floor of the bar, which was decent. The bartenders were friendly and chatty, the food was good and inexpensive. The mood was fairly chill. The only hiccups were that the door would sometimes get left open and the wind would come rushing in. In spring and summer, it may be fine, but not so much in winter. The other issue was that there was an event that night and the crowd rolled in. It is not a very big venue. In fact, it is quite a narrow place, so the place became very cramped and my mates and I quickly lost sight of the one way out. All the same, I never had want for anything. Not sure how the bartenders accomplished this, but they kept myself and other patrons that I could see topped off.

Had attended The Black Squirrel for a college alumni meet. Nice place and good beers. Service was very good. Good place to get a beer in Adams Morgan. A short walk from the nearest Metro stations (Woodley Park, U Street).

Great spot for craft beer. Stopped in here last weekend for their Christmas beer event. The beer and food were good but the service was a bit slow. Although it wasn't super busy the bartender and bar back seemed to have trouble keeping up. When we got the check we noticed that they forgot to charge us for two beers. When we pointed this out they took one off our tab anyway. Nice touch. Despite the hiccup I'm sure we will be back.
