Really cool historic spot in the heart of Bernardsville - conveniently accross from the Train Station with direct access to Hoboken, Newark and NYC. Perfect spot for dinner, a beautiful bar for a cocktail and a tremendously attractive patio for outdoor dining!

I was very impressed with The Bernards Inn and I'll definitely be back. The room was comfortable, clean, and simply perfect. It had everything I needed including power outlets near the bed, a great shower, and wonderful Aveda products. We had a great meal in the bar and the staff was superb.

We stayed for our 6th wedding anniversary, the staff and rooms were amazing, they even helped coordinate a special bouquet of flowers for my wife. The area is perfect, a small town center with a cafe near by for a casual meal. And when you're ready for dinner thier restaurant is one of the best fine dining establishments I've been to, the spring tasting menu with wine pairings was fantastic along with the wait staff and sommelier. The only drawback I can think of (and this is a reach) would be to upgrade thier mattresses.

Dinner in the main dining room was nice, but I'm not sure if was 100% worth the price. Service was slow, and although the restaurant was full, I expect better from what should be a top notch experience. In weekend evenings there is a pianists, which is a nice touch.
