The food and service were great. It was our first visit but overall an excellent stop for dinner. Parking may be a challenge during the busiest times.
Tacos are always great here! Big menu selection, with rotating choices. Staff has always been friendly and no matter how busy they seem to get they are pretty accurate with wait times for tables. Drinks are also awesome here- a ton of different margaritas- as well as specialty drinks. Highly recommended!
Tacos were pretty tasty, service was quick and friendly. There were a lot of options for margaritas and the grapefruit variant was delicious but the value left much to be desired. A pitcher barely filled 4 small ice filled glasses and was nearly $40. Go for the tacos, avoid the booze.
Quality food! Great views! Texas atmosphere! Giant Burrito was my favorite! margaritas were yummy! Kayla K our server was on point! Great spot for date night!
This is a great place to eat! You can choose from a single taco, two tacos, or three tacos. There are a variety of appetizers. We had the flautas which were delicious, and definitely home made. You can choose from, I believe, ten or twelve different types of tacos.
And there are a variety of margaritas to choose from as well. We had the pitcher of margaritas which definitely was enough for two people.
The staff is always friendly. And the service is really good.
It's not upscale. It's more of a place that you can drop by anytime and feel comfortable.
I think this a hidden gem in Madison! I really think the food and service is top notch. Very friendly staff and family oriented. I will make repeat visits to eat all the different types of taco's!
All things considered, this is a great family friendly restaurant. The choose your own tacos option is great, but the food leaves a little to be desired. I've been here a few times and the tacos tend to be hit or miss. No major complaints, I'll come back at some point, but it's not top of the list.
The food here is wonderful, very Texas. I enjoy the salsa bar a lot, but sometimes the salsas are empty and the staff don't refill them sometimes. This restaurant gets really busy, so be prepared to wait
The food tastes fresh and the margaritas taste like they have fresh squeezed lime. The salsa bar is great with four salsas to try. I get tacos every time I come here and they are stuffed. Two tacos here is like three tacos anywhere else. Definitely stop in for some tacos!
My coworkers and I eat here at least once a week. Very nice service. We typically go at a down time (around 1:30-2:00) and are always happily greeted. The endless chips and salsa bar is a must get. The salsa spiciness does have a tendency to fluctuate, but that could be due to the different chefs. Our food is always excellent. Branch out and try some of their fried chicken, brisket, or chipotle beef. If you want a drink, they have a nice happy hour Tuesdays and Thursdays all day and Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 4-6pm. Their margaritas are really good. Personally, I think this is a must visit in Madison, but be prepared to wait in line if you go at a peak time.
Great food, solid service. The restaurant was clean and seemed well organized. Location is very good, although you may need to look for parking longer than you'd like.
Food is okay. It's not spicy at all, but it's okay. The Frozen margarita flights are a good deal with a variety of good flavors. Nice location. Staff was friendly
The food itself is average. You can definitely get better tacos elsewhere.
Kid friendly atmosphere which is a plus.
Pitchers of margaritas feel kind of like a scam - it felt like it actually would have been cheaper to buy individual margaritas as opposed to the pitcher. Maybe it was equivalent, but it's more apparent just how much ice they put in your drink. Definitely overpriced drinks!
Love, love, love this place. When I was told we were going to a taco place on Atwood I expected the worst, however they had a huge menu, and everyone at our table loved what they ordered. Something for everyone. It gets packed, so get here early and enjoy some tacos, or burritos or Chimis the list goes on and on! Prices are average for the neighborhood. Casual dress code. Cowboy boots optional ;)
Food is amazing. Some of the best food I've ever had in my life. The salsa bar is incredible. That's probably the total opposite of what you expected from a one star review, right?
I've been to Tex Tubb's twice. The first time was perfect. The second time, everything was fine except the service and that is the entire reason for the one star review. Our server was inattentive; food took forever to arrive, drinks went without refill, when we needed more chips or whatever he was no where to be found. I left a decent tip given the bill and our terrible service.
When the payment went through, it showed up as being almost $15 than our bill had been. Our server apparently wasn't happy with what I had left and decided to tack on a little more. Attempts to contact management went unanswered so we won't be back, despite loving the food. And anyone that suggests this place gets to hear this story from me, because theft from your customers is entirely unacceptable.
