The appetizers, soup, and main course were well prepared but lacked flavor. Unfortunately without yummy flavors the food was overpriced. Wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. There are better options for a high end meal nearby.

Oysters casino were the best I've tasted and I came towards the end of the night. I also had a filet that was to die for. It was slightly over cooked but still so tender!!! The bread was soft and delicious. The creme brule was to die for. I'd definitely eat here again. You wouldn't be disappointed!

Restaurant week at Johnny's was a nice dinner. In addition to the three course meal, we ordered a shrimp cocktail. This was the only disappointment of our meal, everything else was very good. That being said, i am not sure what the deal wasthe shrimp just didn't taste the best/freshest for $22 (5 shrimp) and the cocktail sauce was a little bland.

My boyfriend and I shared a bottle of red wine they had on special for $40. I would say their drink menu has much variety and competitive (fair) pricing for downtown Madison.

Course 1: We both enjoyed the Caprese salad as an appetizer. I would recommend that. The mozzarella was fantastic.

Course 2: The NY strip and mashed potatoes were amazing! The steaks seemed to be cut in half for the restaurant week promotion, but still over 5 oz. Flavors were great.

Course 3: I had the chocolate torte - loved that! My boyfriend had the Creme Brulee. He also enjoyed. I would say Johnny Delmonico's dessert game is on point!

Overall, i would say i will be backbut probably not until i shuffle through the other upscale dining options in Madison. It was not a show stopping meal, but i would speak highly of this restaurant.

Just OK. The wedge salad was fantastic but the steak was a big disappointment. The 12oz NY Strip was about 1/2 thick and while they did manage to keep a very thin strip of pink in the middle it was dry with a fair amount of fat and grizzle. For $35 I was expecting better. I am a fan of the Morton's style steakhouse but I did not think this measured up. I did think the staff was very good.

We were seated at a lovely table by the windows, served by the friendly and efficient Cynthia. The New York strip steak was perfectly done; the halibut delicious. We shared hashbrowns and creamed spinach. Both were very good; would have easily served three. The wine was excellent. If we lived in or near Madison we would definitely dine here again.

Came in with my wife for happy hour, enjoyed wonderful apps and shared some beers. Ahi tuna, beef tartare, and calamari were all in point! Crab cakes were delicious, but the slaw was a little weird (not bad though). Atmosphere was great, nice medium level jazz music, appropriate for quiet conversation. Staff was friendly and mostly professional. 5/5, would dine again.

If you ever want a really nice evening, I have to recommend Johnny Delmonico's. Everything was perfection, and dessert creme brulee set my heart soaring.

Service was great! Wait staff was on point the whole time! Food was almost perfect & the setting was magnificent! Only complaints are the prices could be scaled back about 15% and my wife had to send her steak back due to undercooked. Otherwise! Fabulous place! We will be back!

Pretty good. Caesar salad quite good. 8oz tenderloin was good with potatoes. Bread appetizer good. Friendly staff. Had to leave before dessert, but it looked good. Thankfully my meal was free so I can't comment on the prices.
