I've been a patron/fan from the beginning. Being a long-time home brewer, I know what good and quality beer should be and taste like. In this myriad of craft breweries, One Barrel has nailed it. How many tap rooms actually have beers barrel aging 10 feet away, directly behind the bar? Madison is fortunate to have them.

Delicious small batch brewery with wonderful staff. If you're looking to grab a meal, head to one of the many nearby options within walking distance. One Barrel Brewing is an excellent stop for drinks, conversation, and snacks.

It was quite loud this past Saturday but the beer was really good. I usually go for heavy or hoppy beers with a high alcohol content; they delivered. Dollar bills all over the ceiling.

What an awesome find! It's tucked away and I didn't even know it was there until walking by during the Atwood Festival. Went last night and had the best time! Their one barrel beers and ciders are DELICIOUS and the bar staff are welcoming, eager to talk about their brews, and generally make sure you have a great time. They also raise money for Underdog Pet Rescue so that gets them a 6th star. Will definitely be back!

By far my favorite brewery in town! They have different, amazing home brewed beers all time. Love the bar tenders, they are all very awesome and personable. I can't say enough nice things about this place :) Highly recommend!!!

One of my favorite drinking holes. It's hip without being hipster. Not really a location for a meal, but there are some prepared food options. It's a better place to meet up with friends.

Stopped in on Saturday 4/1/2017. The beer was kind of middle of the road as none of the taste stood out to me as being unique, and seemed to lack "life" a bit. The bartender seemed a bit unprofessional and was just chatting to a girl the whole time and took a while to get service. Probably will not return again. I do like the idea behind the bar small hand crafted batches and the beer has potential.

Best brewery in Madison. Kid friendly which I really appreciate. It seems like only happy people are allowed into this place; from the staff to the customers, it feels like the set of Cheers every time I go.

Bartender is super friendly & helpful with choices & the Beer is Phenomenal, the only caveat I can see is the music was up a bit high & being an older building the acoustics make it a bit much, but overall an excellent experience..
