My timing chain had broken and a cylinder head was damaged. Prior to having my vehicle towed to the dealership, my husband secured a rental car from Enterprise so I could still make it to work until we could make arrangements for repairs. Once it was towed to the dealership, on 12/8/17, a service rep Dave Trout began the paperwork and got everything in order for my repair work. At that time he informed me that depending on the length of repair, that the dealership could provide a rental instead of Enterprise to save on expense, especially since the work being done was still cover by my warranty. We should return that rental and receive the dealership’s and be reimbursed for the cost of the Enterprise bill, which would somehow be billed to General Motors. After discussing with my husband our options, we did decided we would return the car to Enterprise and try to save cost. Before doing so, we came back to the dealership to confirm a “loaner” car and this time we spoke with Andy a service manager who confirmed we would be reimbursed for the Enterprise cost once the car was turned in and that all we needed to do was have them send over a “direct bill” to show prove of charge. We then left, returned the car and came back to the dealership and Andy THEN clarfies that we should have kept the vehicle until my Equinox was done with repairs then have the bill “sent over.” Now while we were at Enterprise turning in the rental, they informed us that there wasn’t a way for them to send a bill over to the dealership that we would have to do that ourselves. A hold would be placed on the rental until we could get clarification on how to move forward. Obviously frustration because my husband and I didn’t seem like we were getting consistent assistance or guidance in this process. Andy then sends us to over to a Kevin Woods, another service rep, to find a “loaner” vehicle for me to drive while parts were shipped in. Totally mind blowing that the Service Manager who clearly can she the frustration between both my husband and I, “pawned” us off on poor Kevin who did unfortunately hear a lot of my complaint. As the manager if you have previously dealt with a customer and some type of miscommunication has happened that when you step in and assure that customer what can be done to have a satisfied resolution. Andy show no concern for our situation nor did he seem to care if we were satisfied. As Kevin provided us with the “loaner” car, we then ask him about the reimbursement for the first rental and he says we would have to get with Andy to sort that out..which did not happen. My husband emailed a copy of the Enterprise invoice to Kevin and he said he would see what he could do. Which some how was still closed out and charged to my husbands credit card and when he inquired about it Enterprise informed him that once it charged out there is no way to receive a refund even if the dealership found some way to pay them directly for my rental.
A few days past and my Equinox was finally ready; and Dave Trout was there to assist us; 12/13/17. Once again he was very helpful and the only pleasant things about this experience. After getting the paperwork signed and vehicles swapped out, we inquired one last time about the proper procedures on how to handle the reimbursement. He said he would include our invoice for Enterprise with my paperwork and have it sent up to GM for a case review and they would process a check to take of the chargers to my husband’s card.
It has now been a week and we haven’t received any notification on the case status or refund, 12/20/17. I have also received a call to have a brief survey done about my satisfaction and when I briefly explained my frustration, the call center associate clearly sounded unconcerned and unapologetic for my experience. Now that my vehicle has been returned, it is 100% safe for me to say I will not return for any more future business with this dealership nor recommend to anyone looking purchase, trade-in, etc.
I have had body work done here twice. The repairs were sufficient but both times the car was not ready when said. In fact, I received a phone call that the car was to be ready yesterday between 5-6pm and I should be ready to pick it up. Luckily I called before driving and waiting till close to not receive my vehicle. I am still sitting here, 8:51 am the next morning, waiting on my car. I worked a 12 hr night shift last night and would have been late for work and should be sleeping right now. I do not recommend this place if you have a life or other things to do besides wait.
We came from Raleigh today to purchase a vehicle with an “out the door” price that was verified twice before leaving (in email and via phone). When we arrived we were told the truck was $6000 more because of the work bed on the back. Even though the truck was pictured on the website with the work bed and the total price was confirmed multiple times including the VIN, they were not willing to own their mistake and honor the price provided to us. The manager proceeded to offer us $2000 off because of Yvonne (in internet sales) giving us the wrong price due to her being unaware that the bed was extra. This was a total waste of our time and money for the trip and we were extremely shocked at the negligence and lack of accountability. I would strongly not recommend doing business with this company who provides inaccurate pictures, prices and descriptions of vehicles.
Excellent service. Love their online appointment process. No hassle. Work done as planned. Service desk guy is first rate. The waiting room for service appointments could use some work. It's COLD. Love this dealership and I usually hate car dealers. Good job, guys
I use to refer peiple here all the timeNEVER AGAIN!! Not only did the trashy person that answered the phone call me an "idiot" (she thought she had me on hold) the stupid service manager Andy and Dave didn't tell me the service dept closed at 6! I get there to get my car and nobody has the "keys" to get in to give me my damn car!! Than the idiots tell me to come back in the morning! Hell no I will not. You have already inconvenienced me and you want me to return in the morningNOT! I asked that they bring me my car, and I will NEVER step foot back in the damn place. I am beyond pissed!!!
Very nice dealership, and good quality of vehicles. My credit nixed the buying process because of the lack of cosigner, however both Brooke and Chris were very friendly and helpful, and Chris was even nice and thoughtful while I was trying to locate a cosigner..a kind gesture in a stressful moment. I will definitely consider buying from them in the future after I work on growing my credit.
WORST DEALER YOU CAN GO TO FOR SALES AND OR SERVICE.
THEY ARE SO BAD I WILL NOT STEP FOOT ON THEIR LOT. LIARS, THIEVES, CON MEN.
SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
I BOUGHT 4 CARS THERE BUT IT WAS DIFFERENT BACK THEN. SOMETHING CHANGED THEY BECAME GREEDY. VISITED THEM AGAIN TO PURCHASE AGAIN. NEVER NEVER AGAIN.
THEY DESERVE ZERO STARS.
HEARD THAT LABONTE CHEVROLET WAS CLOSING.
GREAT NEWS.
I had to have factory recall done on my 2015 Colorado. The recall required an inspection of the recalled part in question. If the inspection passed a simple brace and clamp would be installed. If the inspection failed extensive work would need to be done to replace the recall part. This dealer said it failed and the extensive job would need to be done which I don't believe was true. I feel they said it failed to land the bigger better paying job. I was not happy with this news but let them do it anyway. I tipped the technician and the service advisor well, requesting a good job to be done and specifically to make sure all the hardware would be reinstalled. I run a motorcycle service department at a Honda dealer and I know the shortcuts some technicians will take to make better time and more money. This technician left out 6 mounting screws and now my AC whistles excessively. I am very disappointed with the service of this dealership and will never go back. I suggest you find a better place to have service on your vehicle performed. If I could leave less than one star I would.
Best car buying experience. Chris Oliveira took care me throughout the process and even brought the paperwork to my house when I couldn't make it in. Reggie also worked hard to make a deal happen and even when I had to walk a couple of times, they still reached out to answer questions and gain my business. Highly recommend going to see them first when you need a car! You won't regret it.
The Holy Grail of Car Dealerships!
If I had to sum my experience up in one phrase, that would be it. The staff at Terry Labonte were the best group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with when buying a vehicle. From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I left, the entire staff that I worked with treated us like family. Reggie Jackson is probably one of the nicest and most professional dealership representatives I have had the joy of working with. His commitment to the customer is beyond reproach! Reggie is a man of his word and that has become a rare trait in the car industry these days. Caleb Gorrell took great care of us during our purchase and couldn't be happier. We drove 3.5 hrs to make this purchase and I will definitely do the same next time we are ready for another vehicle.
This was a great experience for me one again!! This is the second Chevy Silverado I have purchased from Terry Labonte Chevrolet. The whole experience was easy and very professional. My salesman Bobby Lemons was awesome from start to finish! The Whole team made me feel at home and treated me very well and that's why the next time I am looking for a new Chevrolet car or truck I will go back to them.
Went here yesterday and purchased my very first brand need car. Everyone was so nice and helpful and Chris M. Went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. I loved it. Thanks to everyone there for support and help. Best experience ever
Kudos to +Terry Labonte Chevrolet and the guys that worked with me and my wife to get us into a new Chevy Cruze. Matt in sales and Jaime in finance did a great job and didn't quit until I was in a car.I didn't get the one I wanted, but I am happy with the one I have. The only thing I had to leave behind was the sunroof, electric driver seat, auto dim rear view mirror and the remote start. I can add those to this car at a later date.
Thank you gentleman for a great experience. My wife and I are happy to be in our fist NEW car.
May 10, 2017
Just bought another vehicle from Terry Labonte. Traded the Cruze for a 2017 Malibu.
Bobby got us started this time, and everything else fell into place with the rest of the team.
Thank you for our second vehicle from your dealership.
Best experience large inventory. Great
Customer Service. Service of getting a car was fast, easy, and understandable. Jose was the car sales man that helped us. He did a wonderful job getting us the right car we were looking for. Couldnt have gone anywhere else. I was so happy When i drove off the car lot. Thank you so much Terry Lebonte. I am very happy with my car choice.
Yesterday, I purchased a new vehicle and my experience with this dealership was amazing! All of the employees were very friendly and they all went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They also took the time out to make sure I understood all of the features in my new car and they even gave me a tour of the repair center. They are highly recommended! Thanks again Frank and all other employees that helped with this process.
