Found all items I was looking for. Got a nice shirt for my daughters first game.
Occasionally you can find something here you might be willing to buy. They used to have actual books. The staff are as helpful as their pitiful store allows. But still far better than Volume II!
Just got back from this location in search of a gift for my husband. Manager was super rude/paranoid around me like I was going to take something watched him (not at all inconspicuously) speak to the clerk behind the counter about it before going up to spend $65. Will trash this place in reviews (or people looking for a recommendation) every chance I get.
Scammers. Absolutely disgusted by their business practice.
I have been a customer or tech bookstore for many years. On October 1, I placed an order for 3 pairs of shorts for my son that were on clearance. On October 9, I received an email that showed my order and next to status said cancelled. I called the store to figure out what was going on and I was told they were out of the shorts. I asked why it took over a week to figure this out and all they could say was "I don't know." There was no attempt to make this right on the part of the store and my impression was that the person I was speaking with could care less if I was a customer. This experience was so bad that I will no longer shop at Tech Bookstore.
So I rented a textbook for one of my classes my first semester of college for $41. I dropped the course, as I wasn't doing well, and forgot about the book. It has been sitting under my textbooks and notebooks from last semester. 2 months after the second semester started, I was charge a wopping $102. I understand that I should have been more responsible in keeping track of the book, but here's what made me mad.
The only email they ever sent me was my order confirmation email. I never got a tracking number for shipping, although it did get to me fast. But what's worse is they never sent me a reminder that my rental was coming to a close. With how busy college students are and how important money is, that is the least they could do. Don't see myself ordering from them anytime soon.
I have gone to this bookstore for my books for several semesters now and have always overlooked the rude customer service for the convenience of having their store so close to campus without having to pay on campus bookstore prices. Well this semester I once again went to them and bought all my textbooks for 5 engineering courses. After attending two of the classes I found out that they actually had the wrong edition of the book in stock and had to order them online from Amazon with 2 day shipping.
Being a week into the semester I was trying to keep the books for as long as possible until the other ones could get in. The scheduled date for Amazon to get me the books ordered from them was one day after their "7 days after classes started return policy". I called the day before I thought their 7 day return would be up and luckily I did because it turns out if classes start on a tuesday they only accept returns through the following Monday, not actually 7 days from the day of class including the first day.
I called to see if I could return the books 1 day late being that it was their error that they had the wrong book and the so called manager refused to let me return it one day late. Not once did he acknowledge their screw up or apologize for it. The least they could have done was let me return it one day outside their return policy considering it was their error that they had the wrong book, but that was not the case. Needless to say I will not be going back to this store and I will save the money and order earlier next time from Amazon. Customer service at this place gets a 0 from me. The 1 star is because they at least offer competitive prices, at least if they have the right book that is.
