I don't know. I've been here numerous times and it seems each time is less special. The property is always under some kind of repair. Our room was very run down, carpet runs, light switch upside-down, matress shot. Next to the laundry room, the floor was shaking while machines ran. The spa water was cloudy and green yuk. At 4 pm our room had not been cleaned yet. It's been one of my favorite places to stay at the beach but will probably not return.

Just love love this hotel and location. Being able to be toes in the sand within minutes of checking in is amazing. Love the vibe of this neighborhood!

Every year we vacation in San Diego for a week and this is our place to stay. It’s not luxury nor cheap however it’s very comfortable and very very convenient especially with kids. It’s right by the fire station and the life guide building between tower 24 and 25 it’s has the best access to the beach via the ramp by the lifeguard building. The stag is always welcome and super nice. We usually stay in rooms 301 or 302 as The have the best sunset views. Breakfast is typical American and it’s really good. I highly recommend it. I do hope they upgrade their rooms in the future keeping the same prices.

Our first visit to San Diego and Ocean Park Inn will be our go-to spot on future visits. The staff was awesome, especially Pat at the front desk who was welcoming and gave us great tips on what to do and see in SD. The underground parking was extremely convenient and safe. OPI is right next to Pacific Beach and walking distance from many restaurants and clubs.

I love how peaceful this hotel is right on ocean beach. Very nice continental breakfast included with the room. It is my moms favorite place to stay in San Diego!

This stay was for my 65th birthday. .. and it was the best! !!😂😂..it is beautifu,l peaceful and clean. Tim one of the front desk people was wonderful Kind, helpful and very nice. All of the staff made this a great stay. .and nothing beats the sound of the waves crashing. Thank u

First I must say that I'm a homebody who doesn't like staying in hotels. Therefore it would not be fair to comment on the negatives so I will focus on the positives. The carpet in our room was a very cool pattern; it looked like waves in the ocean! Nice, large shower. Nice, cold mini fridge. Nice little balcony for each room. Nice short walk to the beach. Nice short walking distance to several eateries . Nice, friendly staff. Two beautiful aquariums near the check-in. Nice, comfortable bed. Very cold AC. Okay, one negative that I will mention; a very slow elevator when you want to leave the underground parking going up to the hotel. Oh what the heck, a funny negative; I can laugh because it seems so ridiculous, but if you drink the two bottles of water on the dresser, Voss brand, you will be charged $3 per bottle! I guess it's like consuming things from a mini fridge ( which by the way, was empty).
For the cost of a room, I seriously think there could have been a lot more amenities.response / report this review -

My family have come here multiple times over the years, we love it. There was a problem with the pipes in our room, but the customer service was great. They dispatched someone immediately to look into it. Since the other rooms around us were occupied they weren't able to do maintenance through those rooms that day, so Mercedes was kind enough to switch rooms for us. This really is a great place to stay, either traveling solo, as a couple, or as a family. They really do everything to make sure your stay is a pleasant experience.

The hotel staff were friendly, the location is outstanding and the rooms were very comfortable. It was clean throughout with some great views from the balcony. Wished they included more parking and a better brand of coffee!

This is a beautiful location especially with all of the Christmas Decorations through out the inside and outside. Your reservations assure you a seat on a couch or arm chair where the place settings are in front of you on the coffee table. You have a choice of tea, finger sandwiches, scones and many varieties of desserts with or without champagne. The presentation is lovely and being seated in front of the huge fire place made it all the more special. There is plenty of food so be sure to come hungry. The cost was a bit steep once tip and taxes were included however for a special occasion it is well worth the memories.

The hotel seemed to be an older property but had some work done on it. It was clean and nice. Didn't feel like an older hotel. We had an ocean view room. It looked over the pool with the ocean directly behind. Was a very good view. They had a continental breakfast. It was just typical hotel fair. Good location. The parking was easy. I will stay there again.

2 adults, 2 young adults, Christmas week. The Ocean Park Inn was a perfect place for us. Incredible sunset view, fishing pier nearby. Shops, stores, restaurants, bars all walking distance. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms newly updated with good amenities. Comfortable seating on balcony. Good, if simple, breakfast. Nice staff. Neat and clean!! One con: hallways are an icky green hospital color. Should rethink that choice. Very nice vacation for us.
