A local treasure. The most inspired restaurant in the area. A genius chef who brings out the art in everything he does. Homey, personal, expert staff.
The restaurant is tiny, nestled in a small diner-looking car that's permanently "parked" on the street. Yet in its small and unobtrusive look, are embedded worlds.
When you eat here, prepare to be taken care of by a classy, perfectly run operation. It isn't just a meal, it's a show, where you see your own food and everyone else's prepared perfectly and artfully by the chef.
Scallops are always artfully seared to perfection. Rabbit is legendary. Steaks are really yummy. Anything you order will please you greatly. This is a place to make memories.
It is not an inexpensive meal. We reserve TJ Buckley's for very special occasions, and most people that frequent it probably say the same. Because the place never disappoints, it is the place you trust to take care of you in those moments.response / report this review -

Intimate and friendly. We were late and called ahead. They waited for us and served us a great meal of local cheese, greens, duck and sea scallops.

This is the best restaurant in the Brattleboro area. It's in a diner building but don't let that fool you, its a supurb restaurant. This is the place we go when we attend concerts in Marlboro (about 30 minutes away). The rabbit is terrific.

Outstanding! Crabcake appetizer was full of flavor. Scallops practically melted in my mouth with very tasty sides, rabbit was delicious with crispy skin. Deserts were excellent. Friendly staff. Fun to watch the chef prepare every dish. We will be back.

Cute and cozy. Amazing food, and very accommodating with the veggie options which was far better than the typical "steamed vegetables." Beautiful presentation and thoughtful accommodation to dietary preference.
