I loved it here. The rooms are around three star but it's a very cozy place. This isn't supposed to be a fancy place. It's supposed to be a comfortable place. Set on a beautiful lake, this motel is near the woodsy trails. The scenery is just gorgeous. And the rooms are cute and comfortable. It almost feels like camping. There is lots to do nearby like hunting and fishing or swimming and site seeing. There is food and several activities close by. What a site to see. This is a must. You won't regret it.

Best place to stay when in town visiting or just a overnight stay. Second time here and love it. Very clean rooms and super friendly staff. Beds are super comfy. Lots of restaurants in the area and fun things to do. We will be back. Thank you

Blast from the past type of place that I found to be clean and tidy. Unfortunately I couldn't get the rest I needed due to the cold and an unresponsive thermostat control. I called the office and the spoiled brat working the night shift couldn't have cared less. He actually asked me "isn't it hot enough?" insinuating that I should be satisfied as it was. I had just come from spending a couple of weeks living in primitive conditions in a much colder climate and was looking forward to a warm bed. Never again.

Probaly be better in warmer weather as the heater in the room didnt work.When we told the office they said WE could come get an electric heater from the office.Customer service they should of brought to the room or offered another room with working heat. It is only 40 degrees out. No bath tub, just a very small shower.

Awesome little place. It's a blast from the past with the old tile and fixtures. Not to mention my room was 20 feet from lake side Charlie's, probably the best resteraunt and bar I've been to up here. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Nice hotel. Felt a little threatened in the area, lots of drunk people walking around when we arrived and there was a very aggressive dog walking around. Hotel room smelled very strongly of smoke even though it was non smoking. Otherwise, not a terrible experience.

The room was very clean and the people were very nice. Our room was tiny as was the bath. If you just need a place to sleep this will do if you like a hard bed.

Sun 'n Snow's location right on the lake shore and room rates are its best features. Basic amenities, no frills facilities. Our non-smoking "suite" had a nice porch to enjoy the summer weather. The side bedroom has a queen sized bed, a small CRT TV, cable box, and decent-sized closet with 4 non-removable hangers while the main room has 2 queen sized beds, 2 empty linen closets, and convertible sofa-bed by the small kitchen area. The kitchenette has a medium sized fridge, small sink, small stove and 2-person dinette set (which gets cramped when the convertible bed is opened out). The only A/C unit is in the kitchen area so the side bedroom gets a bit warm if windows stay closed. Fairly clean, quaint place. Don't expect too much, really. Would go back again.

I've read the other reviews which were less complimentary, and all I can say is we enjoyed our stay.
Room was clean, a bit outdated, but that seemed to give it a charm of the fish camp type motel that gave it it's start.
Restaurant next door and lakeside location makes it a very nice stay for the price.
We will stay here again next year.

Room was exceptionaly clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was cramped and the shower extremely small. Nice location right next to Lake Mitchell and State park.

This was our second time staying here. First time was fine, it was you average cheaper hotel but it got the job done. This time there were all sorts of problems. Every towel but one had gross stains, the phone didn't work, the room smelled bad from the get go and to top it all off there was a dead bug under the covers of the bed. I'm talking a big bug not just a little bed bug something like an earwig. We called the front desk, on our cell since the phone didn't work and I asked for a refund. Keep in mind this was all in a matter of 20 minutes. They said they couldn't give me a refund for that first night. The one we had only spent 20 minutes of there but they would refund the second. It wasn't until I turned in the keys that he offered a new room as a last resort. Very displeased .
