We stopped in to see the new wine bar. There was a lovely live piano player and the service was quite good. It's really nice to see Cadillac thriving again.
I went here for my anniversary. They have wine that is $7.00 a glass to $50.00 a glass. The food is all fresh, hand made. We ordered drinks and asked her to wait. She was very respectful and did not nag. We go here quite often. I am never dissapointed.
Can't say enough about the quality and passion that is infused with all the food that is prepared here. The staff is always top notch and Hermann himself is legendary globally so it is a real treat to eat there.
Very nice restaurant. You will definitely need a doggie bag.
I was so disappointed. We drove down from Traverse City for dinner. I ordered the “morel mushroom” pasta, full portion, $18.00. ( the half portion was only $1.00 less at $17.00). I literally picked through the dish looking for a Morel and only found one little piece about the size of a pea. There were button mushrooms and portobellos but no Morels. It should have been called mushroom pasta. The cappuccino was terrible. The bread even left a lot to be desired. My husband had the pepper steak. There were no peppers in it all. A small piece of meat smothered in gravy/sauce. He said it was just “okay”. For the price, we expected something a little better. We won’t be back as it wasn’t worth the drive. :(
Wonderful atmosphere. Quiet and very good food.
Always have a great birthday meal at Hermann's. The model pasta was to die for and the schnitzel was so tender. One of our party had the special trout meal and said it was scrumptious!! Oh yes, can't forget the French Onion Soupdelicious!!!
The food was good but not great and very pricey. We paid $16 for a bowl of Creme of Morel soup which was tasty but not worth $16. Our bill was $100 bucks for two people and we ordered one beer. I've lived in Germany and tasted great German food, this was ok but I don't think I'd eat there again. That being said, I believe it probably is the best restaurant in Cadillac as everything else is like reheated Sysco type products.
Good food, decent service, little pricey but not bad over all.
Absolutely fantastic food!! The wife and I had the rainbow trout with morel mushrooms, German spatzkl and Red cabbage, we both agree the best fish we've ever had, spending 2 nights here celebrating our 34 Anniversary, the rooms are located above the restaurant/bar and are very large and clean, highly recommend this Gem located in the heart of downtown shopping district of beautiful Cadillac Michigan
Great food, atmosphere, and staff. Kind of pricey but not too bad. A unique food selection. Highly recommend.
The atmosphere is wonderful, very pleasant waitstaff too! The sauteed whitefish with veggies was phenomenal! And hubby loved the burger and fries, truly enjoyed our meals. Be sure to get dessert! Good value for $.
We have eaten at Herman's several times. Tonight I had the mussels and the walleye. The mussels were plentiful and delicious. The walleye was literally unbelievable. It was probably the best fish entree that I have ever been served. Our waitress was excellent and service overall was great. I live in Grand Rapids so I have no affiliation with Herman's in any. Many times I think reviewers are either affiliated with the restaurant if they give good reviews or competitors if they give bad reviews. I highly recommend Herman's. The food as well as the service is 5 stars in my opinion.
