Great place to hear local musicians. Good choice of beers on tap and friendly wait staff. The food is good, the plates full, and the atmosphere is perfect. Not a bad place to see local artists either (check out the pictures).

Great tap list, interesting food choices. Big portions on the appetizers - didnt even need a meal! Outdoor seating is really nice, very old town feel. Good promotions, too!

They messed up our reservation somehow- even though it's online through Facebook. Luckily they were able to get us a table within 15 minutes for our party of 8 and took good care of us from there. Great selection of beers, ciders, and mixed drinks- apps were on point as well. 4 flavortowns/5.

Cozy bar that picks up at night. Two floors with different vibes, for different crowds. Downstairs has more TVs, as well as drinking games like beer pong and foosball. Good food as well, and the weekday specials are worth checking out.

I have been going to Strange Brew for a long, long time. There's no place in Manchester that brings as diverse a crowd, or serves a better drink. There's no gimmick to The Brew. You drink, you eat, you listen to music. It's a good time with no drama or BS like some other local spots. I've probably made and lost more memories at Strange Brew than anywhere else.

Very slow service. Very cheap. Kind of run-down. Lots of chicken tenders. BBQ pulled pork sandwich is good. Lots of beers & ciders. Free popcorn.

Horrible place!!! The food is bar fare but way overpriced and takes forever. That is if you can EVER find a server to take your order. Sometimes the food is cold and the plate is burning hot. The place is dirty, old, outdated. The music is so loud and not for anyone younger than say 50. I've come here a few times now and I wanted to find something to like but never. I cannot actually believe it has 4 stars. Must be friends of the business. Don't waste your time.

We were there for an anniversary party on Saturday June 3, 2017 late afternoon. They have a nice room downstairs.
The food they served buffet style was wonderful, the bartender made excellent drinks and was friendly and patient. Great place.

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. First, their beer list was very out of date - the waiter had to come back three times because each beer I ordered was kicked. Second the waiter himself had a very odd demeanor and gave my friend and I an incorrect receipt as a joke. Otherwise the beer, food and atmosphere of this place was great.

Strange Brew really is one of my favorite places to go out in Manchester with my usual group of people. Lots of beers and some pretty good eats. One thing I will say is it is stinkin loud if you go on any busy night. The live music is cool when it is an acoustic set but the full bands are just too much. You can't hear the people at your own table a lot of the times. Everything else about the place is great, we've even gotten to know some of the servers on first name bases, but if we see a band setup we've started leaving.

My boyfriend and came in for a quick drink, knowing they have a pretty extensive list of beer on tap. Now mind you we have been here before and had a great time. This trip was nothing shy of disappointment.
1) The place had a similar smell of a lavatory.
2) The bar was sticky and dirty.
3) Showering should be offered on exit.
With so many drinking establishments in Manchester this is one place that attracts nothing less than seedy peeps. I'll never go back. There are way too many great places to visit to to for drink, this isn't one. I gave it 2 stars because the beer menu is still decent.

Great variety of beer and food. Lives bands on occasion, outdoor seating in the summer. Can be packed at times. Some food specials, free popcorn, great times. Can be drafty sitting near windows in the winter.
