Had a really awesome experience. I went into the ER and ended up need surgery. They staff was really nice and make me feel great. My nurse Jessica was really good and on top of everything.

Did the best they could with what they had. Painfully long wait after subpar medical attention. Classic case of guesswork in a white coat. The same could be said of meterolgy but weather isn't as life affecting.

Michelle in the ER, took the time to let me know how my mom is. She had such a pleasant personality that took all the worry right out of me. St Bernardine’s is lucky to her. She a 5 star all the way. Thank you Michelle. Your awesome !!!! Sibylle

This is the second time i have taken my child here to the ER. The staff are very rude and disrespectful. My daughter had not been able to eat for 5 days and hold down fluids for 2 days. They were mean and hateful, almost shaming her for coming in. In the back they sat her in a cold hard chair for 3 hours and ignored her. Mind you, they were not busy and had plenty of open beds. Discharged her with steroids when she came in for persistent vomiting and dehydration. She could hear the other nurses talking negatively about other patients saying"oh another suicidal person" laughing. Ridiculous. As a nurse i would NEVER do this to any person. They even announced all her information loud enough for other patients to hear. MAJOR HIPAA VIOLATION. I will be contacting the State.

I second Local Guide G.J. Rodriguez's review. We really can't fully imagine the stress and demand the hospital staff here goes through on a daily basis. I also don't think it is okay to mistreat patients seeking help and comfort, but I get it. It needs to stop, but I get it. Aside from that, this hospital truly does meet the needs of patients and visitors. They offer free valet parking another great services. It is also a very secure location with security throughout with local police always on scene. This really is a great place to be treated.

If I can give this hospital more than 5 stars i would .. The hospital staff the nurses and doctors are amazing people. they keep it together under pressure and they are very helpful in spite of the many rude and clueless people they have to deal with after all we are in the getto . i was admitted after an emergency surgery and i never had to use the call light once to ask for anything that's how much they care for the patients .. They're not just nurses they are angels and truly care for your saftey and comfort .. God bless them

This place is a disgrace, not only are their staff ghetto so is the whole facility. To put you in a room with other patients with your IV hooked on a coat hanger on the wall is the most ghetto thing I've ever seen. And the nurses in the ER are just rude, they have no expressions on their faces, they don't make you feel comfortable and they don't show no comfort. They are there as a job not to help anyone, some hospitals have staff that care about their patients and don't just see it as just a paycheck! Those nurses need to get trained to be considerate to their patients if not they should not be working there!!!! I wouldn't even give them a one star but unfortunately I had too pick one! All the staff can go to HELL!!!

Loved it,the wait time was well worth it.My daughter was the person who had the surgery and I will admit I was terrified but the care from the whole staff especially her nurse Kim she was so helpful and so caring we could not have asked for anyone better. I want to thank everyone who took such good care of her I am very grateful and lucky to have found such caring friendly and professional people. I thank you. And keep up the great work.

The ER is normally fairly quick. The security were not cool. They wouldn't allow my Emotional Support Dog to stay with me. Duh! There's a reason I have an Emotional Support Animal.

Very professional staff. They serve a very challenged community, yet are able to make sound professional decisions based on the needs of the patients. After a severe fall with moderate injuries and extreme pain in Sept. 2016, they did not assume that I was after meds, but assessed my pain level and treated me accordingly.

My experience at this hospital was horrible. The ER staff is rude and self absorbed. I arrived to the hospital via ambulance. The nurse who was checking me in was nasty. I told her my symptoms she didnt even write them down in the report because the ambulance driver said that wasnt what I said. They claimed not to have any beds so they made me sit in a chair for over 10 hours!!!!! I came in dizzy and feeling faint and you let me stay in a chair for over 10 hours. I didnt have my insurance card on me at the time so they didnt see me. But once my sister came with my insurance card than thats when they wanted to see. Totally unacceptable. Then after I asked for the lead nurse she came and was nasty as well. She told me that she is in charge of who gets a bed and my need wasnt that important so thats why they kept me in a chair. Then when I asked her for the Directors number she decided to remove my IV and discharge me. It was evident that I was severely dehydrated and I was only given one bag of fluid. For 10 hours I recieved the worse treatment ever. The only generous person was the lady who did my ultrasound. She was a true god send. Im not even from California I was visiting family and my first experience at a California Hospital was horrible. Then instead of giving me the Directors Number she gave me her extention so she wont get in trouble. Save time and energy and please dont go to this hospital. You will regret it and prayerfully you wont die on their watch because if they dont feel that you are important your not. It's not over I'm sending my story to the news station, senators, the hospital director. You dont treat people like that and think you can get away with.

The nurses were great. Especially Lita and Connie on the 6th floor and Justin in CCU. They were so attentive to my husband and made his stay there as pleasant as possible. Many nurses even prayed for him

After coming here after like 2 years I have noticed that they have hired many nurses doctors and everybody in between they've got more room for beds and they are taking care of people faster than I have ever seen I talked to the nurse that I spoke with I don't remember his name but he was telling me that finally the one that was in charge finally hired people so now they are doing much better when you talk to the nurses you can actually get to know them and trying to get their understanding and where they're coming from it was really hard on them and that's why they were so frustrated and now that they have more people they are more laid-back more nicer more helpful and did not make me feel at all like I was a drug addict or I was there for attention or I was lying or anything so the doctor gave me what I needed and I was on my way and I was very blessed to know that this Hospital actually took care of me finally finally San Bernardine's hospital is doing their job! Thank you

Worst experience ever. For you own good please don't come here if you can help it. And if you do, be prepared for a long waiting. The ER staff is really rude and Unprofessional, they don't care for the patients. The hospital only cares for your insurance or how you are going to pay, it is a shame. The front desk lady looks like she is obligate to do her work. The hospital really needs an update, and a good cleaning; OSHA needs to pay a visit. The ER needs new management things are just not working, and patients are the ones who pay the consequences. Please save your self an unpleasant experience and go somewhere else.
