Very disappointed they don’t care about the patients! My credit has been damaged and turned over to collections for a bill I never received. Apparently the admitting department couldn’t get my correct address to one of the servicing doctors instead of trying to correct the error they turned it over to collections and damaged my credit. Now keep in mind the admission desk had my right address. After contacting them several times for 6 months now I still have not received the bill and the billing department is refusing to pull the account out of collections even though this was their error!!! They are telling me it’s not their fault! Oh and don’t ask to speak to a manager that gets you hung up on or a voicemail that goes nowhere. This is all over a $30.41 bill!! Thanks for ruining my credit and not caring if I could give you negative stars I would.
A+ ! The best thing about this hospital is the security. Not seen one like this where they require photo ID (they scan it) in order to gain access to the rest of the hospital. Everywhere should do this.
Hospital is clean and well organized although one major downside are the signs it’s easy to get lost in the labyrinth. They have mobile charging stations in waiting rooms which is a A great service for those waiting around.
Please like my review!
I wrote a good review once but I deleted it after 3 times waiting over 7 hrs. What happened to this hospital? I have 2 little boys and unfortunately I visit here because of all the accidents. Wait time is crazy. Once you wait this long, you don't care how nice the staff or the hospital is!
The doctors here are among the best out there. If it's an emergency or something else medical related you will not be let down. The doctors care which is especially important to me.
My wife had a c section here and the staff and service was phenomenal every nurse, Dr, and staff was very friendly very nice here. They go through so much we don't even know it. All hospital employees are amazing and hard workers.
Dr Sarafian,
I want to thank you for the care in the hospital that you gave my brother after the 8th time. He has been in hear for the all same infections, yet you dont have time to order discharge care to keep him from comming back in until we can get him back to his long term drs that have been caring for him for over 20 yrs, when they treat him its months before we have to go back we see A pattern with your care here. You Treat him, dont listen to or read his charts which he has been comming here for years. We will get home and get what he needs. Since you guys would not transfer him to uci. We will get him out with the aftercare support needed without your help.. I have seen your work first hand
There are very good Drs here who listen and have time to care for there Patients and read the history and the charts and look at my brother as a whole. I am sorry, your not one them. He does not fit in your school books or your experience bracket. At this point I am very disappointed that you would even put my brother threw this or the family, we have been caring for him 28 years, with 24 hourly care, i think we would be a source of information i no we dont have you high level of being a Dr. But we are people that have been threw thick and thin.
Thank you again for what you have done i am sorry that you think care stops when the patient's leaves
I guess its not your problem.
Thank you so much. why would you give mission hospital, or hoag a bad name because of your lack of care and time to do your job
October 2017 - Anti Bullying Awareness Month
Mission hospital is no longer the go-to hospital for women’s services in Orange County.
There are other facilities that have far surpassed them in the areas of patient satisfaction, innovative technology, medical standards, & modern equipment.
I was born at Mission hospital 40 years ago. It was a dream of mine to work on that floor one day. I thought that dream had came true several years back. I thought I had landed the job I would retire from. Unfortunately, it had become like a sequel from the movie Mean Girls but with a hospital setting.
The saying "nurses eat their young" is what many nurses will experience when they go to work today. I have witnessed this countless times throughout my career and eduction. I’ve seen it happen to others and myself far too many times. Since I was 18, I’ve trained or worked in many hospitals from California to South Carolina, either as a RN, BSN, LVN, CNA, or EMT. Now at 40 years old and with 14 years experience as a RN, I am no longer going to be a bystander.
Bringing awareness to this issue is my goal, especially for patient safety, for all the nurses who don’t even realise they are being mistreated, or who are too scared to speak up for fear of losing their jobs, for fear of retaliation and for all of the young new nurses who don’t deserve to work in toxic environments.
I chose to leave Mission hospital seven months ago because this behavior was directed towards me by the nursing supervisor of over 30 years and by several veteran nurses. When an example is set at an organization starting at the top of the nursing ladder, everyone suffers. It becomes an accepted culture. The patient satisfaction goes down. The employee satisfaction goes down. It’s not fair to all the truly wonderful nurses who are there for the right reasons. Mission has some of the most talented, kind hearted, hard working nurses I’ve ever worked along side of.
God blessed me with the REAL job of my dreams just after the cardiologist suggested I find another job after developing heart palpitations that I started experiencing while at work there.
Now, working at Kaiser Irvine, I can say I’ve never seen such a well ran facility. Employees are treated fairly & with so much respect. My co-workers are pleasant to work with and we work in a kind environment. The supervisors and nurse leaders are professional at all times and to everyone. There is a anti-bullying culture and a no tolerance rule.
Every good nurse deserves to work in a safe environment like the one Kaiser Irvine provides. I pray that God helps every person involved in situations like these to heal and find peace.
Sincerely,
Jill Caputo
I had two level artificial cervical disk replacement surgery in their neuroscience tower. It was very important to me that I went to the best! Dr. Robert Jackson and Mission Hospital’s neuro tower are phenomenal!!!
I will highly recommend not to use this place number 1 personnel not very helpful with information poorly customer service number 2 takes 1hr to do registry 1hr to get pass to second review of paperwork??? And then to wait again for a technicianthen a long wait. finally got called and then another wait to get a film from other department . in sum a lot of miscommunication. Did I mention that I called at least 7 times and talk to different people just to confirm that I was approved by the medical group. A day wasted on our beutiful medical system.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE ER Doctor!! Unless you are a trauma patient DO NOT expect compassionate, professional care. Dr. Johnson demonstrated the most unprofessional behavior I have ever witnessed. Were it not for the kind nurses we would have left. Go to Saddleback for appropriate attention.
This place will try to rob you and your insurance blind. They charge exorbitant and damn near astronomical charges for services rendered by other hospitals at almost 1/3 of the price. To top all that off, they'll use specific codes to bill you for charges the insurance won't cover knowing they're going to try and get paid from your end since the insurance won't cover those specific codes. Happened to me, contacted my insurance and they said what was done was illegal and they've contacted them directly to complain.
The executives of this hospital are scum. They're the ones that enforce these types of billing shenanigans not giving a damn how they're going to suck someone dry of their money. Hospital run on large donations and the help of the community? I think not. More like, hospital that runs on nailing its patients so that its board directors can park another yacht at the Dana Point Harbor lol
The negotiated rates for CT Scans with Blue Cross Blue Shield are a rip off at Mission hospital. This hospital overcharges on purpose. A standard CT scan in the Orange County/LA area is around $1500 but Mission hospital charges $4000! Do not make the mistake of going to the ER here because I am sure you will find out that the hospital overcharges for many of their services.
Terrible service- go anywhere else if you can!! Was kept for NINE hours on the slowest night of the year for no reason other than general incompetence. Tons of unnecessary tests, nobody willing to help or move the process along.
Not one to write bad reviews, but this one is well deserved.
We went in for some tests for my wife. We had two tests performed and were in and out in an hour. All of the staff we encountered were very customer focused and made sure she was comfortable. Can't beat this team.
I can not understand how anyone can say something
negative about such a wonderful hospital.
Emergency rooms are difficult anyway for all involved. The client and staff. I was treated with a smile from beginning till end. I was there for seven hours and in tremendous pain however, because everyone was so kind it just made it easier.
The doctor was so nice. I just can not say enoughit was so busy and yet everyone remained kind..
So if anyone ever has to go an emergency room out here in Laguna Beach this is the one
