I had my baby shower here. The room was very nice. The food was good and the staff was very friendly.
Arrived in town and Sprecher’s was recommended by the staff at the hotel. It was very good food and the price was reasonable for quantity. My son had the Mushroom Swiss Melt and I had the Jaegerschnitzel. It was more food than either of us could eat in one setting.
Excellent service, excellent food and awesome drinks! Kinda hidden away on the far west side. They also have a to go menu. There sodas are great for hangovers.
Atmosphere and service were great. The brat fries were delicious but my main course, the jaegerschnitzel, was dripping with grease. Also the vegetables weren't cooked and cold as we're the mashed potatoes that came so highly recommended by others. I had really high hopes for this place.
Great place to dine or just go and have some drinks on the patio and listen to live music. The atmosphere and food is great. I usually try something different every time I go here. We have had our Christmas parties here a few times and the staff and cooks do a wonderful job. The private rooms make our parties a success!
Hard Ginger Ale is very good. Good place to play Bar Trivia on Wednesday nights. Bar is laid out pretty good. Food is decent and reasonably priced. Outside seating is an option at the huge outside bar and patio. Have live music during the summer months. Only problem mixed drinks are a bit weak.
Went on a Thursday night not knowing that they have a rib special on Thursdays. Had intended to get a burger but saw the ribs at a table near us and they looked darn tasty. Ordered the full rack and was glad I did. I've been to rib joints all over this country and even attended rib contests with hundreds of contestants.
We're these the best ribs I've ever had? Well no. But they cracked my top 5 without question and were certainly the best ribs I've had in Madison. I was not expecting this from Sprecher's. Between the terrific ribs, the cream soda, and the young gentleman server whose name is escaping me at the moment, we had a wonderful night out.
Will definitely be back for the ribs and to try their other fare quite soon!
We were in town for our son's soccer tournament and went out for dinner our first night in town. We went with a party of 11; 7 kids, 4 adults. We had reservations at 7:30pm and we're seated promptly.
Our section was empty but for our table. The waitress was patient and attentive at first but once our orders were taken we didn't see her for a while.
We ordered appetizers which too a little longer than expected to come out but not bad. Our entrees didn't come out until 9:00!
We were told the manager was going to stop by to talk with us. This consisted of the customary "how are things here?" as she walked by.
This was our second year in row if coming to this tournament and to this restaurant and we had the same experience each time.
I would expect that the managers of the place would understand that there is a large soccer tournament in town (plus the convention center was packed too), and have the staff on hand to manage a large crowd.
Last time we will go there.
Great menu with a lot of options. Loved the items we chose. Root beer on tap is great but mugs were a bit small considering no refills. Lots of beer options and loved the 4 pack soda take home option.
Wow. This restaurant has it figured out! Great food, great prices and most of all, great service. The manager (Travis) visited us twice during our visit and was genuinely interested in making sure that our experience was satisfying. He's VERY personable. Our server was too. I'm not from the area but when I'm in town I'll go out of my way to dine here. You won't be disappointed. Holy cow, SERVICE! What a concept!? Nice job Sprechers.
Great place to stop in and have lunch, good location, good environment however the kitchen needs to get its stuff together. To be fair I have worked in the Restaurant industry for much longer then I would ever want and with that in mind this place could use a good head cook to keep its orders moving. Quality is there, timing isn't.
King crab legs were firm, delicious and worth the price. The service was great. The bar area is a bit small for a "supper" club however all employees made us feel welcome. Definitely will be a spot to return to when we are back in town and can take the time to dine.
Sprecher's is a good place to go for happy hour. I recommend going between 3 and 6 to the bar section and getting a plate of nachos and wings. They have all apps at 7 dollars during Happy Hour and of course, drink specials. They brew their own beer and have their own soda. Go try some if you can! As for normal food within normal hours, I found it to be just okay. Not bad but not very good either.
