Family day trip. Kids had a blast ages 3 and 7. Was a bit on the chilly side but they didn't seem to mind. Park is definitely geared for under 10yrs old. Food was good and kids were able to eat free with adult purchase. Would recommend it for other families.

Gave this place a second chance. Water is freezing when the kids say it is cold. Was here the first time for a Birthday Party day after Thanksgiving and the water was bath water warm for an indoor water park which was great! But had other issues with food and ect at party. Never will return or recommend to anyone to come here!!! Service is crappy too!!! Got a Cabana and currently in it freezing my butt off and was told they were private nothing to block us off from people walking by!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Not the best Michigan indoor water park as far as attractions go. There are only 2 "big" slides, but a great zero entry pool. Great for younger kids. The pool closed down 3 times while we were there due to "contamination" issues. Obviously this is out of there hands and the staff handled it quickly and discreetly. However, the different departments do not seem to be able to tell you anything about the other. For instance if you ask the snack shack about the sit down restaurant they do not know how it operates. It is priced right for a quick overnight staycation.

Visited the waterpark on Black Friday. It was amazing! Our 3 & 6 year old enjoyed it so much! The facilities were clean and inviting, the water temperatures were great, and the indoor temperature was perfect. I didn't get cold like I usually do at Kalahari. We will def be making this a family tradition and stay at the hotel next time. Very kind and helpful lifeguards.
The food was a little pricey, but not too bad for a vacation spot.
    Loved it.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars but I will give the better. We have stayed 3 times at the hotel and been to 2 parties. Last month we took a Girl Scout Troop of 8 and they were bored after an hour. The park is geared a little more towards 10 and under. The rooms have always been nice but the cabana change does not leave enough room for the general visitor below. MUCH too cramped on the weekends. The life guards are great and staff is kind. Having the food court adjacent to the water and food allowed in next to the pools has to be some kind of sanitary hazard. There was so much gross wet food and trash on the floors it was disturbing. I feel the quality of the pool environment has steadily gone down. Please consider keeping the food in the food court and reopening the balcony for general pass holders. Thank you!

This is a wonderful place to bring your kids. The water is clean and life grades are ready to help just a foot away from you and your kids .the staff is always there to serve you.the rooms are seat up to make it fun and feel safe for kids .the patients feel relaxed knowing they don't have to weary about a spill or that they might brack something. And they have a wonderful bar of Frank's for the grown ups. We had birthday party there last year and the restaurant was a awesome place to gather people and get some fast food. One time they were closing and we needed last ment eats and the bartender helped us out. Because we had expected change. I go there every year with my family because most importantly the affordable price.

We were in town for a wedding with no small children and our room was connected to a large family's room with a bunch of screaming children. We went to the desk to be moved and nothing was done. No discount. No nothing. This hotel was supposed To be accommodating the wedding which started at 4 and check in was 4. They didn't really accommodate. I wouldn't stay again.

We went to Splash Universe for a birthday party, and it was our first visit. It worked great as a party location, particularly for the age of kids, mostly 2-6. It is perfect sized for parents with young kids because you can see almost everywhere. A few more life jackets would be nice, but that was really the only negative.

The WORST trip EVER!!! We booked a room that was supposed to have a king size bed, bunk beds and a living room area with pull out sofa. We go to check in and the receptionist couldn't find our reservation. After waiting a good half hour or so she realizes she overlooked our name. Then without telling us she switches our room and ends up giving us a tiny room with 2 sets of bunks and a queen size bed all crammed together. No living room area or sofa. We were still charged the price of the bigger room. It was Horrible! No where to sit and our teenagers were to big for the bunks. The bunk beds look more like toddler size beds. Manager offers us hotel point cards to use on food and games to make up for it. We agreed not knowing that the food was terrible and the game room was so small with the worst games and prizes! Then to top it off kids went swimming and found poop at the bottom of the pool. Disgusting!!! Water was so dirty. We should of just asked for a refund and left. Had the worst most uncomfortable night. Better off paying a little extra and going to Kalahari. We will never EVER step foot there again. We will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

They need a minimum level of decency policy for who is allowed in. We go there quite often but the last couple trips have been pretty awful. Many guests treat the place like their own private wastebaskets. The bathrooms are disgusting with trash and clothing all over the place. The toilets are rarely clean and almost never flushed. The last two times we were there they had to clear the pool because of an "incident" in the water. Also, there's been a noticeable uptick public arguments and violence between guests. I think because this is the only decent size indoor park in southeast Michigan that it attracts all walks of life. Go Friday during the day for a chance at peaceful family fun. Go Saturday night for ghetto gangster nastiness.

Splash Universe is really fun! The kids always have a blast. The water is the perfect temperature, it seems clean, and the workers are friendly. If you plan on spectating in the waterpark, I suggest you dress for summer because it is hot and humid in there. I can't wait to visit again!

The hotel is easily accessible off of the highway. They area in the middle of renovations, but nothing that interfered with us. The room was clean and well maintained. The water park is nice, but the kids were upset that they couldn't go in the hot tub. Overall a plus experience.

Most of the staff was very nice to my stepdaughter and her friends. The lifeguards were attentive and polite, and so was the concessions staff. However, one male lifeguard running the nets was rude because the park was closing. Without warning, he kicked out the kids who had been patiently waiting for around 15 minutes, instead of just not letting anyone else get in line. I felt this could have been handled better because young children don't necessarily understand the concept of "closing time."
