Great place for kids and parents to have fun. Rooms were very nice as well. My only problem with the stay was that everything at the resort seemed to be priced a little higher then me and wife first thought. With proper planning though this won't be a problem. We still very much recommend it for the whole family.
The location is easy to find, it's right on a main street. The rooms are big, spacious and real nice, better that other hotels. Everyone who worked there was very informative and friendly, they made sure you felt at home. There is LOTS to do. I went at Christmas time and the decorations were beautiful, actually, the whole Lodge is!! Of course, the water park is awesome, but they also have a bowling alley, miniture golf, crafts for the kids, quests and adventures to go on, sing a longs, and a whole bunch more stuff for the kids, very family friendly.
This is a great family getaway anytime but especially in winter. We take a yearly trip at Christmas time. Kids are dead tired at the end of every day and asleep on every 3 hour drive home. The food and snacks are a little pricey. They do allow you to bring any food and drinks from outside which really helps. They have an arcade, spa, small workout area for adults, bar/restaurant, putt putt golf(when it's warm outside), mini bowling and so many other activities to keep kids entertained.
We visited just to go to the restaurant. My kids have food allergies so there's not very many places we can safely take them out to eat. We feel very comfortable taking them here to eat. They have us fill out a little card for each child that informs the cooks of their allergies, and they use different equipment to cook everything on. The food was yummy and it's a great/happy atmosphere.
This hotel has spacious rooms for families which are always clean. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Indoor waterpark is a lot of fun for all ages. There's even an outdoor pool for the warmer summer months in MI. We always play the mini bowling and enjoy the arcade/game room. Bar and restaurants here are also pretty good.
We love Great Wolf Lodge! We first stayed 10 years ago on our honeymoon. We've now come back with our toddler who loves the water park. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. All the staff is pleasant and very helpful. Can't say enough great things about it.
Family weekend getaway!! The staff are so friendly and the place us well kept. A big pace for everyone to roam around and lots of daily activities for the kids. Traverse City too is a beautiful city to experience. Combine the two and it's almost perfect. It was one of the best family experience we had so far in and around Michigan.
Great family place to stay at. Pricey but a lot to do with in the hotel for the kids. Wish they offered a bigger Selection for food. Water park was great. Rooms are clean. Staff has been very helpful and friendly. My family and I will be coming back again.
We love this place. We go to Soaring Eagle Water Park quite often as it is close by. This place blows them out of the water. (See what I did there?) The staff is about 1000X more friendly. They are way more organized. On top of all of that there is a million things to do. I would recommend the Magic Quest. We will be back again.
Our family had a blast. Expect to spend $$ on arcade, ten pin bowling and specialty shops. All are pricey. The water park is fun with a LOT of water activities for small kiddos. Just 3 slides, however, for bigger kids and adults. The lazy river is small and gets crowded with little kiddos bopping all over without tubes. Also abandoned tubes constantly clutter the path. Lifeguards are very attentive. The staff is great and rooms are nicer than average.
What an experience. While being all about the kids, this hotel/theme park doesn't lack in quality and fun. The kids said they slept great on their beds and I know we did as well with the pillow top cover on the mattress. It's location is superb with it being close to amenities and just outside of the downtown TC area. The kids activities were fantastic and the staff was super helpful with any questions we had. Truly a 3 Star hotel!
Great Wolf Lodge was wonderful! The rooms were clean and so much fun for the kids. We loved the theme room. The waterpark was a big hit with everyone in the family! I especially liked how friendly everyone was at the resort. From giving the kids wolf ears at check-in, to the "Scoops" kid body wash in the rooms and all of the kids activities planned throughout the day. This is a fun resort that is so much more than just a hotel. There was so much to do, we are going to have to come back again to experience more!
We are staying at Great Wolf Lodge in the beautiful Traverse City. All of the staff are very nice and say hi as you walk by making it a great friendly stay. I haven't been here since I was a kid, now that I have a 2 year old I am experiencing the other end. I am just as excited as I remember being back then. The time we picked is great (mid May and mid week) there are not too many people so it does not feel crowded. We booked our room 2 months in advanced so we got a great deal! Our daughter is kind of hesitant of the water, but she felt comfortable around with not too many splashing or what not. Only complaint is the bar closes too early! By the time you are done for the day, get kids in the bed and ready to unwind yourself it's all closed. Great place!
Such a cute little resort. There is enough activities to keep the kids busy but not too much that overwhelms parents like Disney does often times(not me, I love Disney). They have a Magic Quest game they purchased from Universal Studios that is fun and expensive (but not surprisingit is part of the gig). Kids get so happy and excited that you spend lots of money with a big smile on your face feeling accomplished. There is a private hot tub area just for adults that is quiet if you want to take a break from the kids activities. There is an area just for toddlers too, so if you have little ones you do not need to worry about them getting run over by older kids being kids. For teens they have an alley for bowling and mini golf area. I noticed lots of teens hanging around in groups and having fun. Highly recommend as a weekend family get away.
We have stayed here many times and this last stay was our most enjoyable one. We have 2 children under 5 and they have never been able to enjoy the water park as much as they did this last time. My older child was scared of water (and the big water bucket here), but somehow he warmed up to it and I eventually couldn't get him out of the toddler area. Last night we were walking down the hall while my youngest was having a tantrum. Was saw an employee testing out the Magic Wand and asked her if he could try it. He held it and was able to open a Treasure Chest with it. That totally changed his mood ! He held our hands, skipping back to our room. We have had terrible times here (walking the hallway at 3 AM with the stroller try to get one of our children asleep). The rooms are okay, we have stayed in them all (Traverse City location and Kansas City Location) other than the biggest one with the kitchen. They are pretty roomy, with fridges. I kind of wish they would update them because we are kind of sick of the same old design here, but they definitely are big enough for our family of 4. With how much our children love this place, we will most likely come back for many years.
