we spent a girls day and the staff was great! the facials/ pedicure were fairly priced and staff was knowledgeable. we enjoyed the complimentary strawberries and champagne. we would definitely go back!
Its ok but boring I loved the massage it just really boring idk why maybe it's just me but the spa is great I enjoyed the smell of the lotion you can tell its all natural stuff I liked this place but its to boring sadlyn
Went in for matching pedicures with a friend, unfortunately her anesthetician was very rude and didn’t do a great job on her toes. Her topcoat on both toes showed in layers. Very expensive for 20 minutes and half decent job.
If I could give this place a 1 I would. We reserved some time at Spa Del Sol and it was very disappointing. We were first welcomed by a lady named Sandy who was rude to us the entire time. We were there for my sisters Wedding Party and made reservations two weeks in advance. We were first shuffled to one room and when my sister made a comment about how she called the day before to switch her services, Sandy promptly and rudely told her that 'They would never accept a phone call on that short of a notice because it would mess up their schedule.'
Then they took two our of the 5 of us back, gave them robes and a locker and got them in. The rest of us sat in a room waiting for a total of 3 hours for all of us to get our 'what was supposed to be 30 minute facials (most only lasted 15 minutes at most.) The rest of us never got a robe or locker and basically sat waiting for the entire time until it was out turn.
But the real kicker was when we went to check out after our services were done. Sandy rudely asked one of us who was paying with a credit card' aren't you going to put your tip on there' while pointing at the receipt. We promptly responded that we were going to leave a tip but do it in cash. It was a waste of $79 in my opinion for a 15 minute massage and getting our nails and toes painted.
Feels refreshingly honest.
My wife and I stayed at Chula Vista and made appointments for the Eminence Signature Facial. My wife's experience was good because she had an experienced esthetician. I ended up with a new esthetician who didn't know what she was doing. She skipped the arm and hand massage completely and was obviously not at all experienced in massage, which is part of a facial service. I have had much better facials from students at the Aveda institute.
When I went to pay the manager asked me how the service was and I told her it wasn't good and didn't include the arm and hand massage that is in the description of the service. All the manager said was oh, your esthetician is new so she must have forgotten. She still charged me full price for the sub par service.
I would not recommend this spa. If an esthetician is new they should be trained and not work until they are able to perform every service to a high standard. It isn't okay to charge full price for an inexperienced student quality esthetician.
