Stayed the night in a 2 level suite. Excellent room and very relaxing. Facility was very quiet and not over crowded. Did not use the spa or aquatic facilities so cannot speak on that but if you are looking for a room that's in the same price range as a holiday inn but 10x the quality, definitely look here.
I haven't gotten any of their spa services, only general admission. I've been with a friend who got a body scrub and said it was fantastic. It's the perfect place to simply spend a day relaxing. Be warned if you're weird about being naked with strangers I would suggest you go elsewhere. No bathing suits in the spa area, only in the actual pools outside. No pictures in the bathing areas. Obviously because everyone is supposed to be naked! Be sure to check your locker when you check in, like all communal places there can be faulty ones. Follow the rules guys and have fun!
This place was horrible from start to finish. After going there my first day at 8am to enjoy a day off from a hard week at work. I encountered staff members that aren't at their stations when assigned due to them being on phone calls so spa castle needs some cell phone policies placed. Also in the men's area in the saunas there were used condoms and bandaids in the pools. I was disgusted and left these area immediately. I will be letting the health department know about this as well. I left with no refund because they make that VERY clear everywhere. So if you love non sanitized areas, no refunds for crappy service, and being treated like a non paying customer. Please, by all means, pick this place! I get that some people have good experiences here but i was not one of them.
I love going here for their facials. Such attention to detail AND relaxing! Love it!!
Yes, at times the front desk only has one person checking in people so get there 15-20 minutes in advance. You can’t wear shoes once checked in so you have to put them in a locker. You then use another locker to put your clothes in once you have their uniform on.
Staff is really friendly and helpful. I’ve never had issues and come here often. I’ve only done their facials and manicure/pedicure so I can’t speak for their pools.
Food in their restaurants was pretty good.
FYI. No food or drink once you step in here. I learned that when I tried to take coffee with me. :)
Great place to relax. Last visited on 2017 Thanksgiving day & there wasn't a big crowd which made the experience more pleasant. The tickets were on sale directly from their website (weekend rate is usually $50 but was discounted for $24) so it was great value. You can't bring in outside food, but the food that's being offered has decent variety & quality, although it's a bit pricey (but not greatly overcharged like some amusement parks). A few things that I didn't like:
a) We got there shortly after it opened & the weather was a bit chilly. The outside pools were heated but the water jets were pushing out cold water in the early hours. It eventually got better but would suggest they heat up the water in advance so early morning patrons can enjoy warm jet water.
b) Kids pool was NOT heated
c) Water jets are turned on by placing your hand or thumb over a round touch sensor. But some of them were not working. One touch sensor actually was physically broken with some wires being exposed.
d) Men's bathroom did not have any towels near the area where you exit from the Turkish bath. So you had to walk butt naked, dripping wet to the counter desk near the lockers to get a tiny towel. It would be great to have the towels stacked near the shower/bath area.
I love going here. Make sure to not go on the weekends or Holidays because it will be very crowded. Most of the food has MSG, so be careful. Kind of pointless to go sweat for health benefits if you are eating that. The outside portion is amazing with the pools and spa. But please DO NOT bring kids under the age of 12. This place is just not meant for children.
It can be a little intimidating to do the nude bath, but I really enjoyed it! The facility was clean and the workers friendly. The baths, pools, and saunas were great. Food was pretty good. I didn't have any drinks, but overall I really enjoyed my experience. If you're feeling brave, try out the traditional Korean body scrub! It was awesome!
Went in today for a Swedish massage and the ultimate body scrub and it was wonderful! Spa was clean and employees were professional! I ate at the sushi restaurant which was good! I wasn't sure about going due to the bad reviews but I didn't have any troubles and would go back again!
Not suitable for large groups and I hope you don't value your privacy - great concept, pretty facility, terrible execution.
We went on Friday at 930am, purposefully during a slow time, so our group of 15 could enjoy the facility together. We booked multiple spa appointments through the morning/early afternoon but due to the spa's computer system, and only one person working, many in our group were stuck standing around for over an hour waiting to be checked-in and released to go enjoy the pools.
The staff made us feel like a complete burden, nothing was booked properly, zero instruction/direction was provided and the spa supervisor made the 13yr old cry.
My favorite though, had to be when I sat up following my massage and noticed a clear-glass window in the door to my private massage room! Nothing like sitting up, not fully clothed, to see someone walking down the hall with a clear view into the room!!!
I went to the front desk to be sure the food/beverage charges were being separated by individual and asked to speak to a manager about my concerns. 1) there was no manager on-property so I had to wait for one to be located and arrive 2) he was quite unhelpful, offering only to call the GM as he had no power to really do much of anything 3) he assured me the charges were split by individual guess what? At checkout? They weren't.
In an effort to GTFO of there and be on our merry way, we paid whatever we paid and I'm hopeful the assurances of proper refunds come through.
I had a lovely time here. I used a Groupon discount for my ticket, but I would gladly pay the normal $40 per person.
This place is VERY CLEAN. I saw people cleaning all the time.
The food was pretty good. I had a cheeseburger and fries and a mango smoothie.
There's several saunas to choose from. Most of them are HOT.
The staff was warm and friendly.
The locker rooms were a bit confusing. But I got the hang of it.
The bathing areamy favorite place. I'm in love with their hot tubs. They're not like those normal hot tubs attached to pools. Those are pathetic. There's 5 different temp tubs. Ranging from very pleasantly warm to scalding hot.
The public pool area was beautiful and the floor felt clean! No grit. I didn't go outside because my skin reacts like a vampire's would. But it was pretty from what I did see!
There's also a poolside bar.
8/10 chances I'll return soon.
My visit may 2017 I don't like the fact you have to walk around in dirty floor with no shoes. When walking from outside to the inside with no shoes the floors are not clean. I think they need to give you free slippers with the price you pay . but I love love the spa pools they really are relaxing . I will go back again
Tip #1: Do NOT go here for a private massage. $110 for a deep tissue massage and I literally paid someone to oil my back for an hour. There was maybe 10 min. of actual deep massage but it was definitely not something I would do again. Spend your money at an actual massage place.
Tip #2: Do NOT go here for a facial. Very rough and fast scrubbing. I did the O2 60 min facial and it was super disappointing. Another $90 ill-spent.
What should you go here for?
The saunas were nice. Very good variety. The jetted tubs were also nice although many of the jets were not working. The sushi was decent.
IF we ever go back, we will definitely get a Groupon and only visit the spa's and saunas and none of the other amenities.
The property is very nice but I believe it is poorly managed. I have been to another spa very similar and enjoyed my day more. I did not see staff members making sure cell phone are not used in the private locker rooms. I saw ladies recording and taking videos of themselves in the locker room with other ladies present. The massage therapist were AMAZING! But the rest of the area needed better monitoring. The pool area and the locker rooms to be specific. I will not go back.
I come here when I need a whole day of relaxation. The saunas are great. I recommend starting low and working your way up. The pools are really fun. Not a big fan of the nudity in the locker room but that comes with a spa. Got a 15min massage once and it was great. I'm a regular.
Recently visited spa castle (with a group of friends) with a pretty great coupon and was very impressed with the tranquil setting and environment. We stood in line for a while, but checking in was great. The guys were informative and we were greeted nicely after given our options. Everything was perfect until going into the locker room. My friends and I didn't know you were to take your shoes off before entering the main part of the changing area. The girl(s) quickly reminded us to remove them (which was ok).but asking if we could place them in our bags instead of separating them from our things was returned harshly to 'Can you just put them in the lockers'. It changed the entire mood of our night. No towels were offered when went out to the main pool and no hospitality inside the women's locker room what so ever. It's like the staff were just ready to go home, and it showed. Not sure if I can tolerate an unfriendly staff when you're selling serenity.
