Like most this place has it's pros and it's cons. The best thing about going to SWAU is the people. The second family you gain. You make some good friends for life and while I can't say the same for all the administration, a lot of the Professors here seem to really care about your success After college. The folks in the financial department really look out for you the best they can. They have some pretty good programs where you receive more attention from teachers than you would a public school. You will have opportunity for spiritual development.
Honest comments on the biggest cons are the way you're treated as a student once administration has your money and special guest or other visitors show up. All the sudden paying students are locked out of the cafe (some are made to pay for ) and herded in and out with a sack lunch. Not to mention the fines that get charged to your account as a freshman for various reasons (ask anyone here).
In conclusion You will find what you come here looking for at the end of the day if you simply look in the right places.response / report this review -

Small, friendly, life-changing, and awesome are all words that I would accociate with SWAU. I have been to three different Adventist Universities and I love SWAU. The people are friendly, the staff are great and very accessible, the student life is amazing, and the administration cares. The school upholds Christian values and is welcoming to everyone.

Great school! Extremely friendly environment. Professors are always available to help you. Campus life is great with lots of activities and outings. One of the best nursing programs around. Working on my MBA here and love it.

I visited the campus and LOVED IT! Very beautiful and very nice, I wish it was a lesser cost to attend, but I know that it is worth it in the end. I have friends that go to school there and love every second of it. I know people have said the spiritual experience is lacking, but in reality I think that it is all what you make it.
