This is a hidden gem in Beaufort. We have had lunch and dinner here on multiple occasions. The food is delicious! We also love that this is a BYOB.

I have eaten at the Beaufort Inn for 19 years and have never been disappointed until Aug. 24 of this year. It was a friends birthday and I wanted to make it special. I called ahead for reservations, but when we
arrived our table wasn't ready and that was just the beginning of a horrible experience. We waited almost an hour and a half before our orders were taken, the poor server who was alone was so embarrassed . She told us it was because her boss had guests. Well they came in after we did and were served before us. You would think the boss would want paying guests to be attended to so as to come back again. I don't know how long it will be before I return or even suggest the Inn to my friends.

My son worked for these people for over a month part time and was never paid.
He was hired and told he would be paid 8.00 per hour. He was expected to keep track of his hours and each time he asked for his pay he was put off. Finally, as his father I contacted the owner, Bethany and she was rude and did not show any concern. Absolutely shocking and disappointing to know this woman is running a business and treating workers this way, These people are crooks and will be investigated by the wage and hours board in Columbia. I hope anyone that sees this post will consider the character of these people and stay away.

BETHANY PULLED OFF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING WITH SO MUCH CARE AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL that I never dreamed we could afford. Weddings are stressful, so I can definitely understand some of the previous reviews… Let’s face it, hopefully this is the first time you get married and the last! Bethany was extremely competitively priced, offered a complete package that NO ONE else could offer, and is Extremely busy because of it. I agree that there was a lack of communication at some points because of how busy everything got, BUT I think this should be expected when there is so much going on. My recommendation is to cover every detail up front before you sign a contract. Take time to review it with people that have already gone through the process so that you know what you are getting up front. Bethany took allot of time to explain, but you have to ask the questions, write down the responses and document! I added all of the details from my questions to our contact so that we both understood what to expect from each other.
We did miss a few appointments and deadlines.. but the deadlines were set by Bethany so far in advance to cover the delay and there were more appointments scheduled than needed to cover if we missed a few… a sign she knows what she is doing. The food was amazing, the decorations were more than I could have dreamed (including outdoor furniture with a fire pit!) We had a helper ALL DAY that brought food, steamed my dress and helped with so many things that you would never have thought of. Bethany knows what she is doing and from the very beginning you could tell this was not her first rodeo! We used a different photographer and DJ and if you choose to do the same with any vendors, I would highly recommend over communication BEFORE the event between all parties involved. I feel I got way more than I paid for out of the event, and the insignificant bit of communication issues far outweighed the results of a Beautiful wedding that went off without a hitch!

We hired Southern Graces Catering to do a dinner party for my husband's 75th birthday. I shared my vision with Bethany about two months before the party. She came back with a proposal that took my ideas and made them 10 times better.

Bethany's staff arrived Friday morning and removed the furniture from my living and dining room. Not a single scratch, dent or mark. They then brought in long farm tables with rustic chairs and this cool lounge furniture. The flowers, china, candelabras.the whole look was stunning.soooo much more than I had hoped for.

Christopher prepared the most delicious meallobster bisque, heirloom tomato and beet salad, surf and turf and my husband's favorite dessertbanana pudding. Every course was beautifully presented and brought to us by the best trained wait staff I've ever encountered. It was one of the best dinners I've ever had.

After the party, the staff went into high gear. They left my house spotless and everything back in it's place. You would never have known there was a party the next day.

Through every phase of the planning and execution, every employee I encountered at Southern Graces was accommodating, friendly and totally professional. They love what they do and they do it extremely well.

Bethany and Christopher Hewitt will take your event to the highest level imaginable. If you want a huge smile on your face the morning afterhire Southern Graces Catering.

SG is a true dazzler when it comes to selling you your dreams, but if you want a communicative caterer for your wedding and exactly what you requested, this is not the group for you.

I hired Bethany and her group for our destination wedding based on the exceptional customer service and attentiveness when I met with them. After the contract was signed, it was much harder to get my questions answered and my adjustments met. Our contract stated that our cake would be three tiered of specific flavors, orange and red flowers, and a certain number of staff would set up, serve and break down the wedding. We were adamant about having no mason jars at the wedding.
What we got was a two tiered cake with flavors we did not want, white flowers that were in poor condition and blended with my dress, and a short staff that arrived so late that the wedding party did half the set up and take down. And the mason jars we did not want.everywhere!

I tried via phone, email and mail to contact the group and never was able to speak to Bethany, who, I was told, is the one who handles these situations. The only acknowledgement I ever got was a very sincere apology from one of the caters.

SG food was amazing and the event was very pretty for the attendees; however, I really have a problem paying for services that were not rendered.

Best of luck and happy event!

I ate at the restaurant last week for brunch and it was fantastic! I will definitely be back! The atmosphere was laid back and friendly. Our waiter was superb. OH the grits! To. Die. For. If you are looking for gourmet southern food, this place can't be beat!
