Worst hospital I have ever come across. Your better off having a One eyed crack head examine you in the dark.

The staff treats you like your stupid and they never take anything actually serious. My grandma has been to the hospital so many times and they just give her medicine. The last time we went she was sick and they just gave her medicines and she got worse within a few days to a week later and had to take her back and she got admitted because of how bad she got. They need to think about it and anything they are told about the past of the patient weather it's if the patient has had surgery because of the sickness or weather a disease came and they got admitted, This hospital needs to think about the patient well enough and everything they are told or that is on the patients record before they just up and decide to give the patient medicine and send them home. Other wise they don't need to be a hospital that cares instead of it being called an emergency room and taking hours to see someone or for the doctor to go in the room they need to be called the non-emergency room and have underneath that we are slow and could really care less how long you are here as long as we get your money.

This hospital system I do not have much faith in. If you can make it across the line into Amelia Island or Jacksonville much better to choose from. Many times they are overwhelmed and misdiagnosed small items. If you have a minor injury it's okay.

Not concerned with patient comfort, even when you have an abscessed animal bite and cellulitis. They were more concerned with giving me rabies shots than actually looking at the extensive infection. A doctor merely glanced at my hand and that was the last I saw of him. Been 8 hours since I went and the swelling and redness is spreading up my wrist. I am unable to move my fingers now.

UPDATE: 36 hours later I started to go septic and called telling them my new full body symptoms. They told me just to give it more time. Glad I went to another hospital instead. I could have died. I'm on day 4 of IV antibiotics and needed an I&D. Only go here if your ok with dying because they don't know how to treat even an animal bite.

If I could put zero stars I would I was brought to this hospital via EMT for severe dehydration after a food poisoning incident. After finishing an IV still dizzy and quite weak they ask me if I have something to pick me up. After I call my mom to pick me up, without being able to stand straight and feeling super weak they gave me my discharge papers and got me out of the room to the waiting area. I was still with nausea and diahrrea and serious in pain though they discharge me after not even an hour in the place.

ER is a joke. Staff will do as little as they seemingly can to get away with treating and discharging you. Basically a waste of time. Most lackadaisical environment for health care I've ever seen. You'd be better off going to the one of the Urgent Care clinics in the area if it's not actually *life threatening*. Otherwise come here on your own discretion. I've had a better outcome going to one of the Jacksonville ER's for the same problems.

People hate on this hospital as being a "band aid only" place, but use common sense. You've got some of the greatest hospitals in the country in Jacksonville. Why would you WANT to be at the small town hospital? They're trying to get you the best care possible.

    Common sense.
