Stayed last night. More of a look nice on the outside kind of place.
Water is tan / yellow
Air is so dry you wake up all night long with dry mouth. Wad of women’s hair in my sheets.
For 200$ a night I expect more.
Also the area around there is not the best.
Have photos. Yuk
This hotel is one of the nicest places I’ve stayed. The lounge, Shades, and Jody the waitress/bartender were awesome.
The only flaw during the whole weekend came Sunday morning at breakfast in Visions restaurant. We were offered a buffet breakfast or ala cart menu. We chose the buffet. Same breakfast that chains give you with a nights stay. This place charged us $15.95 each for powdered eggs, some melon, typical bacon sausage and frozen home fries. There was no way that breakfast was worth $32. Just a warning to stay away and spend the money in Shades.
What a cool place! The former American Optical factory converted into a top notch 24,000 square foot conference center/hotel. Apropos lodging if you are visiting Old Sturbridge Village as both the hotel's & the village's provenance are tied to the Wells family. Nifty artwork & decor, a beautiful pool & fitness center plus Starbuck's coffee in your room are just some of the highlights. Hope to do some R&R there again sometime soon!
when i was looking for work i must of applied here 10 time never once did i get a call nevermind an interview but a friend of mine place app. in got hire the next week unreal and i had more work exp go figure
The Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. They were also super helpful with accommodating my wedding party and guests. Everything from cleanliness, to the rooms, to the bar/lounge area was an A+. Thank you for helping make my wedding weekend amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
The attention to detail, commitment to their community and extremely personable staff is second to none! Southbridge Hotel has done a tremendous job over the past few years with expanding their services, accommodations and ability to create a wonderful experience, whether you are choosing them for a business meeting, luncheon or wedding. I have been to several events in their ballrooms and I was impressed by all of them. Truly nice to know a venue like this exists in central MA!
I stayed 2 yrs ago. The hotel is very very clean. I loved the bar ambience. Had a lot of fun meet new people. The restaurant wasn't that great. Had dinner and my plate looked like they dumped the food on it. It should be more presentable, like a food network fancy plate lol. Just saying. I would stay there again but not eating there. :)
What I love the room is spacious. The bedding is nice along with the bathroom. Blackout curtains/AC. Beautiful pool/ hot tub. Restaurant is affordable and delicious! Drinks affordable too! Great patio area. Friendly staff. Separate patio for smokers. Close to shopping and historical museums. It's been a wonderful stay:)
This was our first time visiting your hotel. We were there because my husband had to do two seminars. We enjoyed everything about your hotel, people were great, the rooms were nice and we loved the hot tub and pool very much. If the weather was better, I would of loved to have walked your grounds, they looked so wonderful. We will be back again.
The staff know me by first name and remember my room preference and drink order. Very clean, comfortable and the food in the restaurant is fresh and well prepared. Keep up the excellent job! The staff really goes above and beyond.
This place is awesome. It's beautiful on the inside. Out family meets and gets together here for a day or two. So much for the kids to do. They love the pool, hot tub, and the big room with the basket ball hoop, the jump ropes, holla hoops etc. #1 place to bring a family together.
Beautiful center, great staff and wonderful for groups. The pool was perfectly for our family. The restaurant had variety of breakfast options. The sound proofing in the rooms left something to be desired.
I have been staying at this Hotel for personal reasons for about 5 years.. I stay. There at least twice a year. The staff is always polite and helpful and always willing to accommodate. The choices in that area are few. I am glad that the one decent place is this hotel.
We travel to Massachusetts two or three times a year and have stayed here every time for the past 3 years. We won't even look into other Hotels because we love everything about this one. Both my boys pretty much grew up in this hotel and my oldest refers to it as " His hotel". Always accommodating,Very clean, great staff, amazing food , awesome pool & a ton more amenities that are just wonderful. It's our Home Away From Home!
Stay at the hotel for two days during an MTA conference. The location is fabulous, service and food is great. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. One thing I didn't line was that the gym, jacuzzi, steam room, pool, etc. closed at 10:00 pm.
Hand the best breakfast this morning .. Adele was Fabulous waitress thank you for great service .. Front desk couldn't have been nicer .. Liz so nice to see you haven't been here for a while .. Made me feel like I was at my own family's place
Excellent hotel ,service was great ,amenities great , wish I had known I could have borrowed racquet ball equipment before last day , only problem i think for the price they should have complementary coffee in lobby instead of charging $2 for it .
I have always had a great experience here. The pool and fitness area are always clean as well as the locker rooms. The staff is always friendly and it's close to home.
Beautiful hotel. I recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed. Pool, basketball and racquet ball court. Nice staff. Bar/restaurant area with pool tables and darts.
Stayed last weekend. Room #236 is awesome. Even with quite a few different events including a crazy costume convention full of super heros and villains the Southbridge staff remained cool, calm and very courteous. I would definitely stay here again. Good job guys.
