Stopped in not expecting much. But I actually I loved it. So glad we visited.

Wonderful authentically detailed recreation of an 1880's old west town! Well worth the trip.

One of the best period correct museums I've ever visited. Excellent displays with original artifacts set up professionally with a prompt description.

Highly recommended. Fascinating, very rich museum situated in a picturesque area in Colorado's high country. I planned to stay for an hour but ended up spending in Fairplay alomost the whole morning, exploring the museum and the art shops nearby.

An amazingly authentic restoration of a Colorado mining 1880's Boomtown with 34 buildings and more exhibits. The story is well told in the brochure and other interpretive signs. The buildings are displayed as they would have been. This is close to an hours drive off of I-70, but we enjoyed the stop. Reasonable price also.

Hands down one of my favorite Museums and historic towns to visit in Colorado. Fair price for how much work has been put into the restoration attempting to share the history of South Park City. Dress up weekend events prove entertaining as 19th Century characters walk amongst the public in light of the local biannual celebration. It's worth the drive from Denver for the weekend.

My husband and I stopped here and had a blast!! I didn't expect it to take us hours to get through. There's so many interesting things to see. We want to come back with our kids one day!

This place was awesome! Well worth the money. Old buildings are kept up very well and have a lot of the original items still in them. In the mine building, they have an original machine from 1864! I highly suggest going here.

Stopped here after driving by for many years. The self guided tour is great! Spend as much time in each building as you would like. So much history to read about. They have done a great job staging every stop. I really enjoyed the tour!

South Park City is an excellent old western town setting that has brought in many historic buildings. Better yet there are character actors who have taken on historic figures to help you get a better understanding of life in the 1800s.
