I would rather go to the dentist, and have all my teeth pulled with no sedation, than to deal with these rude, unprofessional, ignorant employees. They actually act as if they are in the streets, rolling their eyes, as if your mission when you come there is to make their life miserable. You should be able as a grown woman to acknowledge, and greet people with a "Hello, how may i be of service to you?" My question is, Who hired them, and why?

With all due respect and apologies to the hard-working people that work here, this is one of the worst government offices I've ever been to. While I do cut them some slack because this is a challenging job I must also point out that the staff almost seems to be looking for a fight in every interaction. Why people in Greenville tolerate this is a mystery to me. Maybe locals think that all DMVs are this confusing and stressful. The motor vehicle taxing procedures in South Carolina are already oddly complicated so the whole routine of running from tax auditor to bill payment to DMV seems to be a big hot mess. It's a draining experience that could be improved if someone stepped up and decided to improve things.

A visit to the DMV in any state can be a nightmare. We appreciate the improvements in the SCDMV over the past 10+ years. Today's experience was smooth and hassle-free. The one who assisted at the door was kind and helpful. The customer service representative at the counter was knowledgable, prompt, courteous.

Kind staff who work to get you what you need as soon as possible. The space is relatively comfortable even when it's crowded. It took me about 40 minutes to renew my driver's license on a Friday afternoon, which I feel is reasonable.

This DMV is very busy but the line (once you have a ticket) goes rather fast. Don't let the crowd scare you. Easily accessible. Very nice employees. Make sure to look online at any documents you may need to bring in advance.

Honestly this DMV breaks all the stereotypes. I was helped and guided through the experience and as opposed to the all day affairs I was use to in Boston and Los Angeles I couldn't believe how fast things went. Seriously they were already calling my number before I had time to sit down. Not sure if it's SC or if people in Greenville just do it better:)

Always crowded, but close to other offices that might be necessary for forms and documents. They do the best they can with the amount of crowds they deal with.
