The property is well maintained and very clean. My room was comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I honeymooned here 5 years ago, and it was an even better experience at this visit. My favorite feature is the close proximity to the ocean. There is very little light pollution at night, so stargaze to your heart's content.

We had a wedding at the Sonesta and it was wonderful! Kristen was very patient with us and creative when problems arose. She was very organized and on top of getting everything done. I am so thankful we chose to have our wedding here. The food was delicious and hot when we ate it. The hotel staff helped make our day and experience special.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. This is a hidden gem that I want to keep all to myself! My mini Hawaii is how I see it. Clean rooms, clean hotel, pool is superb, staff is wonderful! This is my new vaca spot!! Enjoyable for all age groups, and the price is perfect, will be back soon!

Our stay at Sonesta in Hilton Head was wonderful!! We came for a destination wedding. We arrived on Friday night and left on Sunday morning.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff specifically Ashley, took excellent care of all of our needs. When we were checking in, the only king size room left for our "block of rooms for the wedding" was on the first floor and was considered a pet friendly room. We asked to speak to a manager and that is when Ashley came and spoke with us.
Ashley was super efficient, she listened to our desire to change rooms and took care of it for us immediately.
On Saturday morning we called and asked the front desk, again it was Ashley, for extra coffee and creamer for our room. She sent a staff member up with coffee pods in cups but when I unpacked the cups, there was no creamer. I called down to the desk and told Ashley that we didn't get the creamer and asked if she please send someone back up. She brought the creamer up to our room herself within minutes.
During the wedding reception a male management staff member and our waiter, not sure of their names, made sure to have nonalcoholic beer available for me, as I don't drink.
I felt like the staff truly cared about our needs.
Again, the hotel was beautiful, well-maintained and very clean. We loved our room and a view of the pool. We would definitely go there again!!response / report this review -

We stayed at this resort for 6 nights/7 days. It was a beautiful place. If you want to eat breakfast there everyday, I highly recommend paying for the bed and breakfast package which includes the breakfast buffet like we did otherwise it will cost you $47 every morning. Don't bother eating other meals at the resort they are overpriced and their are much better places around Hilton Head Island. Also bring your own beer, snacks, and bottled water to the resort unless you want to pay a fortune for those too. Otherwise the pool was great and so was the beach. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

Nice place, a little over designed using way too many materials. Someone went a little too nuts on picking every option instead of streamlining he feel of the lobby and he corridors. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the linens were top notch. Service outstanding as well. Location to the beach was perfect however establishments like this are common

Not sound proofed enough to have a 4 star rating. We could ear the toilet flush in the room above. Voices carry through walls in the room next door and above. You'd think at this price you'd have a really quiet room. Service and cleanliness were great.

We had a wonderful time there on our Mother- Daughter weekend getaway. The service was great and the room wad nice an clean. Our check in was effortless as the young lady was very accommodating. We are looking forward to going back.

This place was definitely gorgeous and right by the ocean, if that's what you're looking for. However, when you use a debit card as payment for your room, they will hold a certain amount of money that cant be explained for 7 to 10 business days. After already holding another amount for incidentals. My friend and I split the room cost and they double charged her for the room, and charged me also. Like I said, it's beautiful and scenic, but I wish i knew about random holds on my bank account before trying to make my payment.

The nicest resort we've been to in a long time. Everyone on staff is incredibly kind and service oriented. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The beds are super comfortable. Very clean. I really can't say enough amazing things about this resort. And, it's on the beach!!!!

Spent 4 days here on spring break. Accommodations were very nice, hot tub and heated pools were great since it was chilly outside. The beach was clean and a very short walk which was nice. The food was hit or miss. We ordered​ room service for breakfast which was great. The buffet for dinner and lunch menus lacked quality and variety.

Very comfy yet modern rooms. Fantastic bar in the lobby, Oscar is possibly the best bartender ever. Plenty to do within 5 minutes of driving and 2 miles of walking. Room service was a little pricey but not out of the norm for this quality of a resort. Free Parking!! Short walk within resort to gorgeous beaches (and I'm a Floridian). Will be visiting again. Such a 5 out of 5.

We are staying for a marriage retreat and the experience so far has been great. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. All of the food has been catered by the hotel and it's delicious. It also has a heated "indoor" pool and hot tub (it's actually outside covered by an overhead) and an outdoor pool. We are still exploring the hotel which also has a gym and spa. We brought our bikes and actually biked about a mile from the hotel to the plazas down the road. The location couldn't be better. I think there's also a private beach past the pond behind the pool. If you've never been to Hilton Head I'd recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for NYE. Didn't have any trouble booking dinner at the restaurant and the food was great!They hosted a NYE party in one of their conference rooms which was tons of fun! Hotel inside was very nice room was clean and large. Hotel outside was Beautiful!! Watching all the fireworks on the beach was a lot of fun! Breakfast the next morning was also very good. Was a little worried about getting a table as we had heard that the hotel was at full capacity, but we had no issues at all. check in and out staff were great and bar staff for the party and in the restaurant were all very friendly. Don't believe the negative reviews, this place was fantastic!
